Remarks

Design, art, media, fashiongovernment college, the ambiance, work place, connections, situated inside kiit university so lots of interaction. Always loved sketching so thought of trying nift. Though it not easy for general people, but there are overall 14 campuses, so its all good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Lot of guest facuties, the course is vast and can learn a lot of things. The number of faculties are not fixed, they come n go, but every department is having one cc and 4 parmanent faculty.

Class Size: 19Course Fees: INR 1700000 per year

Placement Experience

Central placement done every year. But most of us gets placed during graduation project itself.

College Events

We conduct spectrum every year during feb, a lot of extra events everu month, sometimes every Wednesday after classes, the main Spectrum is conducted my every campus individually and near by colleges are invited. The main even of nift is converge that is inter nift event. Every year all the top 50 participats from each campus come together to compete in a given located campus host.

Campus Life

Huge campus, with a 4 gardens, hostel is inside the campus behind the college buildin, two sport areas, one indoor, lots of labs by requirement of each dept.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is pretty good, duo living with two big washroom with 6 room in it at the edges of corridor. A big mess, washing room, activity room, but no ac.

Hostel Fee: INR 72000 per year

Placement Experience:

I don't have much idea about the placements.But it's said to be quite good.The companies that visit the campus are well-known and they select the best candidates for the job. My plans after getting a degree is to finish the master's in the same field and then work for some basic experience in the field and to become an entrepreneur in the future. There are many career options that can be considered after finishing a degree from this college.

Life at Woxsen

Placement Experience:

The placements depends on the student, Campis does bring some companies, but in the end it's the students portfolio and personality that will grab the opportunity. Campus placements started from 8th semester, we have placement coordinators too. Various companies like oram, micron, flipkart show up for the placements. And the 2023 batch had the average of 6.2LPA. The highest so far has been 13LPA, top 20% avg is 8.8 LPA It keeps on increasing, depending upon the student itself.

There are placements given but we dont preffer to take these as it is not good enough and our faculty encourages us to get our own coz it helps in exposure The salaries can be pretty low compared to other schools like bba Desing is very different it needs both artistic and logical minds as it is subjective and people have diffrent ideologies that makes it hard to fullfil all the requirements

NIFT HYD - WHERE YOU WANNA BE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best part about the curriculum is multiple internships. Starting out after the second year, we have our textile internship. It spans over two weeks and we are supposed to submit a report and presentation regarding its working and the process flow. After our third year, an apparel internship of 2 months is to be carried out. This is a great experience to truly understand where and how to work in the industry. The last semester is entirely one internship for which different companies such as aditya birla, landmark, decathlon offers and comes to campus for placements. This might be one of the most important parts of the syllabus as it can help shape our entire career. Juries are taken for all these internships which again helps us in remembering everything important regarding the working of the fashion industry. Since our syllabus is regarding apparel production, it is majorly focused on this. This provides us great insight of the working of a textile and apparel factory and about the brands that we shop from. Another part of our syllabus is the inter disciplinary minor where we can learn subjects from other departments from semester 3. Then we have Deepening Specialisation from 3 different options, Production, Technology and Management. This allows us deeper analysis about the core of our subject.

Placement Experience:

On campus placements are not very helpful. It's better if you build a strong portfolio according to your line of interest and search for jobs through connections or on your own. Campus placements are fine but you'll get more and better opportunities if you go out there to find jobs or internships in your own.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is average as only some companies comes for the placement and approximately half of the student get placed because of campus placement but if the student tries from themself, college tag will help them a lot .

Placement Experience:

Form 7th sem you are eligible for the campus. There are so many companies visted every year like Addidas,. Nike , lifestyle, hidesign etc. 5 lakh per annum is the highest package they offer for the freshers. 80 percent students placed every year.

I didnt apply to any other college. It was NIFT or nothing else for me. Initially, we submit our application for the course we want. Then there is GAT exam, general ability test which is a combination of maths, english, General knowledge, case studies. There will be selection from this exam for the interview and campus selection. The interview part was not there for me, because of COVID. So there was narrowed selection from the exam itself. Hyderabad has proven to be a great college for fashion Technology students with good placements and great faculties. For the exam, focus on all the factors, buy books, attend coaching if required, do mocks and u will definitely ace it. NIFT is the epitome of best fashion college so to get in here to achieve your fashion career dream is the ideal dream. The cutoffs are generally lenient. However, since more and more students are applying ever year it has gotten tough to get in. Reservation seats and NRI seats are all there for students. The admission process is quite lengthy as it has 4 steps to clear. Submitting application form through online process.
