Sports is given equal weightage as academics. A sports village with a total area of 30 Acres is dedicated for sports activities. The Sports students start their practice at 4 a.m. in the morning and 5 p.m. in the evening in flood lights. All the sports activities are encouraged by providing all the facilities when the students participate in Inter University, Intra University and other tournaments. Sports students are provided hostel accommodation free of cost. All sport students are provided sportswear & gear. The College have the highest intake of Sports students in Tamil Nadu.

The Alumni association of our college has completed 10 years of active functioning. Every year, alumni meetings are organized to interact with the students which create an opportunity for the alumni to exchange their views about the developments in the competitive world. Already ten annual meetings have been conducted which were attended by a good number of alumni. A website is created exclusively for the alumni of St.Josephs College of Engineering. Our old students enroll in the alumni association through online. We are proud to say that a good strength of our passed out students are in U.S. U.K. Germany, Australia, Canada, Singapore etc. All the email I.Ds of our alumni are available with our alumni association. present students are interacting with them to get career guidance. Whenever the members of alumni visit the college, they are allowed to interact with the students to share their experiences in higher studies and employment opportunities.

First i go to visit the college. Then I decided that college campus was good.Then I made the decision to join the campus.
