Remarks

Regressive mentally needs to change because there is so so much scope based on the academics alone.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is excellent and extremely relevant, barring sociology in third year which was stupid. The teachers and teaching needs to improve and the regressive attitudes of the whole administration. There were industrial visits, and they were helpful. A career counsellor also exists on campus that helps with placements. I did not use the service because I was prepping for post grad.

Placement Experience

2

Internships are student. College doesn’t really care. For placements, they have a counsellor and he does a good job. The college also took up initiative to prepare interested students for following all india pg entrance exams.

College Events

3.5

Lots of them. From cultural fests to MUNs. Everything. It is one of the biggest in the state. There is a fashion show every year and a concert or a stand up every year. SoA annual MUN is one of the most prominent conferences in the state. There is a technology fest for the engineering campus and there is a swachchh bharat drive every quarter

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is around 4 lakhs for 4 years, which is cheap compared to other institutions in the city. There is a transparent break down and hostel fees is an additional 100000 or so depending on the type of room, number of people sharing it, etc. The system is flexible and they take delays in payments into consideration.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, none was offered. There is no criteria, they do not provide any scholarship. They do assist you with necessary documentation should you require a loan from a bank.

Campus Life

Gender ratios were 4:6 with the former being men and latter being women. There was a lot of cultural activities but talking about race, religion and especially sexual orientation, it is extremely regressive with certain faculty also participating in the facilitation of bullying. I hope that has changed by now. Extracurriculars exist- sports, radio, MUN, dancing. the whole lot

Hostel Facilities

I haven’t opted for hostels. PGs are cheaper, nearly 3-4 thousand a month and there are many around the campus. Hostel is 1L (nearly) and has a single store underneath it. I hear the food is decent but has a lot of scope for improvement

Alumni/Alumna

We had only one batch ahead of us and all of them were filled with unhelpful bullies so nothing there. Most went on to post graduation.

Admission

I wanted to study Genetics. But I could not find any suitable college to study this as an independent course. So I had to take up agriculture so I could major in agricultural genetics in post graduation. In April 2014, I took the entrance exam. My rank was 11. I was called in for counseling. Within the next week, I was enrolled and I started classes soon after. 2nd of May, as far as I remember.

Faculty

3

Average age is around 65-70. The junior lecturers are around 35. Lab assistants were in their early twenties. All theoretically held a lot of industry experience and certifications but that does not make a good teacher. Barring a handful, everybody needs rigorous teacher training.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific curriculum aspects that influence the choice of a course include unique modules that align with your interests and career goals, a program's reputation, teaching and assessment methods, and opportunities like study abroad or internships. You should research the specific content, like whether a course is more theoretical or practical, and choose based on what best path. I took english hnrs because of english is my favourite subject... And about changes in english explanation is the best teaching part in this course .. so I want to change this part of my teacher that's all
