Remarks

Alloted to this college through CEE. Mosc medical mission hospital is famous with a attached medical college and nursing college. It holds a variety of departments from general medicine and general surgery to OFMS and plastic surgery. So, it made practice in different areas very easy as sometimes some colleges doesn't have all the required areas and should travel to other hospitals to practice. So, that factor was an important factor to choose this institution. This college, while concentrating on the academic details, still give a chance to participate in various extracurricular activities. It was ranked the best SNA unit for a few years in a row. I chose Nursing because I saw a promising career and the satisfaction of doing good it offers . And I wasn't wrong as this pandemic proves.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus was updated according to KUHS. It included all current practices. Much exposure was provided through postings in clinical areas and simulations. The faculty was always willing to learn. They demonstrated an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and encouraged their students to follow them. They were so excited to impart the knowledge they acquired and always looking for new teaching methods.

College Events

4.5

The campus is relatively quiet as you spend time in clinics more than in class. But, any day of an event, the college will be buzzing with excitement, the institution celebrate almost all the important days of the year with some functions. It may be a role play, a mime, quiz or classes. These are enjoyable but sometimes, it backbites as students are the ones to organise an event. It is time consuming. Culutral fests like onam and Christmas are celebrated grand. Students make the arrangements and is welcome to come with many ideas. But they will have to obtain permission from the head of the institution for their idea. College days are an absolute bliss. Workshops of various departments are conducted now and then. And most of the participants are working nurses. All workshops has a minimum number of 250 attendees (the number can vary upon the event).

Campus Life

Sport facilities are shared with the medical college. Mobile phones are prohibited although you can use a base model phone with no camera for 30 minutes a day. It has a good library with almost all areas of nursing are covered. It also provides with computer systems with internet facility and newspapers and magazines. Labs are well kept, clean and contains all the equipment for your practice.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are not an option, it's a must. A room is shared between four people, with each having separate tables and wardrobes. Rooms are to cleaned ourselves. Hostel is kept clean by cleaning staffs. The principal is chief warden, and vice principal, a member of the faculty also holds hostel supervision. There is a full time hostel supervisor/warden available. Hostel life is wonderful with our dear friends.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

Good Placement actually depends upon the students only. The crowd inside the college should be highly capable and enthusiastic for learning. The problem at XIME is not the placement but the crowd and quality of students. The college have proper placements process. Centralized placements across the three campuses are followed. Although students need to pass certain criteria to sit in the placements such as maintaining a particular GPA.
