Remarks

I opted for this college as it had a great combination of what a student needs to learn and kickstart a successful career. Good Infrastructure, Good Facilities, Well-maintained and student-friendly. The teaching staff are well-trained profeesionals with great educational skills. It's widely regarded as the best Private college in the whole State. I personally also chose this college for its proximity to my home. I chose this course as I have an interest in Computer Sciences and would like to be a part of the booming IT industry.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Syllabus has been needing a thorough update for too long. The college follows the KTU syllabus, like all other colleges in the state (except for a select few). The syllabus lacks the ability to educate students on the latest trends happening in the respective fields, Computer Science especially. Industrial Exposure is pretty limited as it's all coordinated by syllabus standards. Faculty is good. Some have old fashioned teaching methods, but are well-read on the subject. They teach as far as the syllabus tells them to.

Internships Opportunities

I had opted for an internship ship off-campus using an online provider called Internshala. I receive a monthly stipend of Rs.8000. I intern for HTC Global Services.

Placement Experience

4

The College is widely known for having good tieups with companies and always grabs the best companies for placement. The college offers good opportunities and many candidates are given 2+ job offerings. The Placement Cell is quite helpful and updates us with all the requirements. We've had a few notable alumni placed in Google, Amazon, Microsoft etc.

College Events

3.5

The college conducts many varied Inter and Intra collegiate fests. There are 2 main big events in a year. Tech and Cultural fests. The events are of medium size. The events are well managed with great fanfare, with atleast a few prominent members opening each event. The audience is lively and the whole college is greatly invested into the extracurricular activites.

Campus Life

The campus as good Infrastructure. Clean and open environment, easy access to restrooms and rest areas, Water coolers and Coffee kiosks on every floor. Sizeable auditorium and multiple AC media halls. Expansive and very well-equipped Labs. Computer Labs are packed with systems with the latest high-op specs. Internet speeds are pretty good, as the college is situated close to am IT Park. Library is stacked with useful study resources, although casual reading material is limited. Sport Facilities are great. We have a pristine cricket ground that has hosted State matches. Basketball and Football grounds are available. Also a riverside walkway.

Hostel Facilities

There are a great many rooms available for Hostel-goers. The hostel complex for boys consists of a 11-storey building with 200+ sleeping capacity. The rooms are quite spartan but equipped with the necessities. It also contains the mess, which is hygienic and serves good food. Availability is good. But reserve the seats early on to avoid getting rooms in the Old Block, which has much lesser facilities.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students get eligible for campus placements. I do not know which companies visit as i have only joined this year but as what i know from the seniors the companies are looking for students with skills over marks. The average package offered is 100000-200000 per year and more than 10 companies visit per year. About 80 percentage of students are getting placed though campus placement. My plans after getting the degree is to find a job outside of india if i can

So when we consider curriculum, I was in 2015 KTU curriculum and it was not that much updated with current technology. But after there was 2019 KTU curriculum which is more adapted with current technology are better. So curriculum not only will help us to obtain real life experience, so they will need us to complete extra curricular activities which is need 100 points mandatory for course completion is there , so considering that it is a good thing. You need to do intership, courses etc.
