Remarks

The college management is pretty strict when it comes to attendance and rules. Students have to attend 75% classes in each subject in order to be eligible to sit for the exams. They are very serious about this.Another rule that they are obsessed with is carrying ID cards. Students are not allowed inside the campus without their ID cards.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE, The admission was based on class 12th marks. An interview was also conducted. I was asked general questions.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course structure is at par with any other engineering college. All the subjects taught are according to each field. There are extra subjects like foreign language, business communication and behavioral science. Though less emphasis on research is given for B.Tech. courses.

Internships Opportunities

No, Amity does not provide any internships.Students are required to find internships on their own for the course.

Placement Experience

4

Amity offers decent placements for engineering graduates. A lot of companies conduct mass recruitment drives in the campus.Companies such as TCS, Infosys, HCL, Ericsson, etc. visited the campus in 2014. Average package offered was around 3.5 to 4 lacs per annum.

College Events

4.5

Amity conducts many annual events.Technical fests, cultural fests, debates, dance competitions, etc. are organised on a regular basis in the college. Events are conducted at different levels, both intra-college and inter-college!!! There are events for different colleges in the university campus which can be attended by students from the other colleges!!

Fee Structure And Facilities

The tuition fee for any B. Tech. course at Amity School of Engineering Technology is quite high.1st Year Non Sponsored per Semester Fee (Rs. in Lacs) : 1.501st Year Sponsored per Semester Fee (Rs. in Lacs) : 2.25. This is one of the drawbacks as the fee is quite high for all courses offered by Amity university.

Campus Life

5

Infrastructure- best in class/ better then any private institution or college in the whole region.facilities- Great facilities, you will get everything inside campus. from beauty salon to high-tech research facility labs, a very good central library swimming pool, shooting lane and other sports facilities in fact there's nothing which you can't get inside amity Noida campus.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel fee: Rs. 1,50,000/- (AC) per annum and one time Refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 10,000/- has to be paid at the time of admission(Mess charges on actual basis).PGs are available at walking distance from the campus. The mess food is average though there is a food court inside the campus which has good food outlets such as Dominos Pizza, Bikano, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

I have had no personal experience with any of the alumni of Amity School of Engineering and Technology.

Exam Structure

Amity follows an exam structure wherein it conducts exams over the period of the entire semester. It takes a round of unit tests called "Minor Exams" which are held over a period of one week (with no preparatory leaves) and two exams per day!!Another round of exams is at the end of the semester called "Major Exams" which are the end-semester exams.

Faculty

3

The faculty at Amity are post graduates or Ph. D scholars. They try and teach as per the course curriculum. One may seek extra help by the teachers during their free time. Most teachers are quite approachable. Students who require extra attention can go to the respective subject teachers and take extra classes for the same.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is not that good. Hardly 2-3 companies come here for foodtech. But there are job opportunities for this course. It is a growing field. Outside the campus, if applied in any company, there are chances of selection based on the skills and knowledge one has related to the field
