Remarks

GMC Nagpur is central India's renowned medical college having campus of near about 300 acres(one of the largest in Asia). It can be ranked among the most prestigious institutes of Maharashtra as well as of central India... When u will enter in the premises u will be fond of the greenery of college and hostel areas(even during mid summer days u can find peace and chillness in this place). This is the best college for those who not only want to study medicine but also want it with full enjoyment(regarding extra curricular activities such as social experiments like Health camp) Gmc provides top quality education to both its ug and pg students . It is arguably the topmost medical college in Maharashtra and as well as central India. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose mbbs because i wanted to contribute to my society... And Gmc Nagpur has been helping me in achieving this goal. The student faculty ratio is almost 100:19 which is quite impressive for a medical college. All the teachers are impressive and experienced, and has great ways of teaching. Although you have to study yourself quite hard to obtain good marks in the internal exams well as the professional exams, but teachings from teachers and seniors always helps.

Internships Opportunities

5

Medical practice can be experienced from 2nd year itself. Internships and post-graduation studies are also offered, and too much experience can be gained here, as the daily patient inflow is quite much.

Placement Experience

5

Almost 15-20% students have been qualifying for neet pg at first attempt every year, which is too impressive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Fees is 1 lakh per annum. Although it is a bit high as compared to other states, but there are benefits as well, such as education and experience. And there are many scholarships for reserved castes as well as economically backwards, which help a lot.

Campus Life

5

The campus is huge(300 acres) Is is full of greenery and beauty... The college and hospital buildings are quite old (more than 70 yrs), but infrastructure and facilities aur great. Hostel is great, food is good. Gym and various sports like cricket, football, badminton, swimming, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, etc. Can be enjoyed throughout your college life inside the campus.

Hostel Facilities

5

One room is designed for 2 students. Food is good Hostel and mess both are quite affordable (4000 rs per annum for hostel, and 2000 rs per month for mess)

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS, as they say, is not a joke. It is no doubt one of the difficult courses in India. But all studies and and hardwork seems to be worth it when the patient thanks you and lives the hospital all cured and smiling. The exams are of mbbs course are moderate level of difficulty and consistency is the key to pass all exams. After completing mbbs, student appears for neet pg exam which yet another challenge in a medico life. But with consistency, hardwork and also smartwork even cracking nest pg is possible.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, the students will do internships there and get paid upto 20000rs monthly. After that as a resident, we get 60000-80000rs per month. The residency is provided by our college as well as other colleges also, so the students get distributed. The highest package is 2.0 lakhs has been offered to senior doctors. In MBBS the placement ratio is highest at 99.9% because medicine is a profession that our country needs to work on for better medical facilities door to door to everyone. My plan after getting a degree is to master in Neurology and become a neurosurgeon.

College management is a little slow. Any work in the student section takes time however if there is a deadline for something the college makes sure that all the work is done on time and no student suffers any loss.
