Remarks

SIBM Bengaluru is located right in the midst of all the corporate giants and budding start ups . My admission interview was on the 13th of February,2020. The process included a formal introduction of the institute by the Admissions and IT Committee, followed by Writing Ability Test, a group exercise and a personal interaction round. I chose this institute because I was overwhelmed by the student culture here. I did a thorough look-up about SIBM Bengaluru using the official institute website, its official Facebook group for admissions and queries.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Since I am in my first year, I have not yet picked up a particular specialization. The first years are made to learn about the four specializations of the second year, in brief. We get the essence of operations, marketing, finance and HR in the first year. Also, SIBM Bengaluru has introduced two new MBA programs from 2020, which are MBA in Business Analytics and MBA in Quantitative Finance. We can proudly say that our faculty members are extremely adequate, and are very supportive and encouraging to students.

Delloite, JP Morgan Chase,Morgan Stanley,Credit Suisse , Nestle , Amul , Cummins , Capgemini , Philips . KPMG are some of the participating companies. We have more than 200 participating companies for the batch of 2020, and more than 60 new recruiters. Also, more than 49 PPOs were given to our students(2020 batch)

Campus Life

5

Our annual fest, Utopia, takes place in July every year, where students participate in huge numbers, and make wonderful memories. There are several other opportunities for students to portray their talents, through various club events. Our library has a gamut of varieties, for academics, research and light reading. Smart classrooms and flipped classrooms, help students make the best of learning. Student Welfare and Sports Committee in our institute makes sure that every festival is celebrated grandly. Our institute has 10 committees and 12 clubs, all run by students and mentored by faculty. Each club and committee has various enriching activities conducted all round the clock.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are 2/3 sharing, with individual study tables and cupboards. Every floor has 24/7 water dispensaries. We have common rooms to hang out and relax. We are served food 4 times a day, and the taste has a blend of every Indian culture.

Interview Experience

5

Writing Ability Test and Group Exercise were conducted one after the other, and topics were very generic in nature, and mostly about current affairs. Later, we were asked to wait for our turn for the Personal Interaction round, which approximately took about 10-15 minutes for each of us, followed by document verification. The entire process ran smooth, with excellent co-ordination among the seniors, and it took about 2.5 hours. My preparation heavily depended on reading about current affairs, and interacting with students of different MBA colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure was good as everything was done in a systematic way. Best thing I learnt from college is that I got to meet new people and get chance to communicate with them by which I believe to some extent my English was improved.
