Remarks

Our college provides good career opportunities for excellence. The lush green campus help in the all-round development of students. The legacy of Maharshi Karve is the biggest reason why we should put trust in this University. Our college is one of the best Women's University.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college follows the renewed syllabus according to AICTE guidelines. We change our syllabus every 2-5 years to keep ourselves aware of new technologies amd education system. Our college provides us experienced and well versed faculties. We have a good exposure towards research as well after the post graduation.

Class Size: 48

Placement Experience

Being a Women's University, we have a number of MNC's visiting our college with opportunities. Accenture is our mass-recruiter along with that Barclays, Colgate, Capgemini and many more.

College Events

Our college has 7 councils in total. 4 technical councils such as IEEE, CSI, ACM, E-Cell. One council each dedicated to student body of college and sports. One council for the felicitation of alumnae.

Campus Life

Our campus infrastructure is full with the serenity of Nature. We have 3 libraries in the campus of SNDT, Juhu of which 2 are in the building of Usha mittal institute of technology. Our labs are well equipped. We have a good Wi-Fi connection for workshops or computer labs. We have grounds for different sports like Basketball and badminton.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
