The medical college is one of the most reputed deemed colleges in the country. The campus is beautiful and also contains all the basic facilities that's required in a college. The hospital in the campus is all the latest medical technology and equipment and adequate number of patients ensuring that the students studying there are exposed to a variety of medical cases. The college also contains well qualified and experienced faculty and the standard and hygienic hostels for both men and women. I was drawn to this college as it is located in one more most peaceful and green parts of Tamil Nadu, thus creating a beautiful and peaceful ambiance for students to study and appreciate the beauty of nature.

The MBBS course syllabus had remained constant since the time of independence, until last year, where our batch or the 2019 batch was the first batch to have a change of pattern of examinations and slight differences in the duration of years and syllabus. Like for instance, 2nd year of MBBS which was usually 1.5 years long was changed to 1 year, a subject called Forensic Medicine which was a 2nd year subject was transferred to 3rd year, examination questions were changed in order to give more importance to the clinical side and clinical exposure was provided from first year itself.

This question cannot be answered as I'm studying in a medical college and there are no such thing like placements. Students that have graduated on time, would either start preparing for NEET PG or start working in a hospital as a junior doctor. Marks don't really play an important role in getting a job at the hospital, however efficiency and proper medical knowledge must be possessed by the student. Our college make sure that every student gets enough experience with a number of medical cases and is capable of displaying what he or she has learnt over the tenure of 5.5 years.

A Cultural Fest is usually held every year during the month of April and its usually the biggest event of the year. It's conducted in a professional manner where an grand stage is put up and judges are made to choose the winners. The entire college takes part where groups containing a mixture of all years are made to compete with each other, allowing us to make more friends and also bond with seniors. Other events include women's day, freshers day, sports day, onam celebrations, independence day, teachers day and others. I personally haven't got the opportunity to participate in a lot of cultural events due to the Covid 19 situation, due to which I missed the Cultural Fest this year as well.

The campus is beautiful and hence has been ranked 1st position for the greenest campus in the country. The facilities include, a central library which is brand new containing all the important books and journals require along with a cafeteria and an Internet facility. The library is huge containing separate rooms for students who want to study using reference books from the library, or a study hall for those who wants to bring their own books, or a room for Wifi users. For students interested in sports and other physical activity, a playground, badminton courts, and gyms have been provided. Labs are standard containing all the basic equipment required for students to practice. They are all well maintained and in good condition.

The hostels provided by the college are one of the best seen in the country. There are separate hostels for girls an boys. Hostels for both are pretty much the same having an intake capacity of about 115 students in each hostel. Only 2 students are allowed to stay in a room and bathroom are attached in every single room. Both AC and Non AC rooms are available as well as each room is provided with a balcony. The mess hall however, is located outside the hostel in the next building. The food offering is only vegetarian, even though eggs are provided to those interested. Those who are not interested to stay in hostel but would like to stay as PG, apartments in Ceedeeyes are provided. However, transportation and food should be arranged by then student alone.
