Remarks

Placements they provide and education. Also the infrastructure and location of the college. I got the seat of tfws too so I chose this college. Plus I asked few people about the reviews about this college I got quite good reviews.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yes faculties are very friendly here. They help us out on almost everything and we understand what they teach. but I feel as technology is dynamic in nature it's changing everyday the circulam should also get updated.

I don't know about this but our seniors say that it is very difficult to get job from college campus.

Our college conducts good amount of extracurricular activities, technical events,and festivals. I feel they should conduct free workshops like learning python,SQL,php Web development etc it will help students in updating there knowledge and move parallely with the new booming technology.

Campus Life

Classrooms are spacious. First floor washrooms are good but the rest of the washrooms are worst. We have huge enough playground to play. Library facility is also good. But infrastructure can be better.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
