Remarks
The Aeronautical department is one of the oldest department of SVIT, hence it is one of the most reputed. It's more indulged into research fields which attracts the students willing to go for research. The college has been established since past 22 years. The placements are pretty impressive. The college is located near the vasad bus depot, so it's easy to travel. Moreover it's just a way of 45 mins from Vadodara city. Most of the students from Vadodara go to college through bus facilities provided with daily up-down. Infrastructure development is very good at SVIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is given by the affiliated University. SVIT is a non - autonomous college for technical course affiliated to Gujarat Technological University. The academic structure is very well planned and given to the students at the very start of the semester. There are various industrial tours, workshop and expert sessions for the industrial exposure. There is a compulsory 75% attendance rule. The ones failing to attain this is not allowed to appear for the semester examinations. The college authority is very strict for the same.
Placement Experience
The no. of companies visiting for the on campus placements is a bit low and this is because low demand of placements by the students. The students are more and more interested for innovation and research as this field of engineering requires this. The students don't sit for the placement and hence it's makes the placement procedure simple for the students sitting for the placements. They easily get the placements. The entrepreneurship cell organises various workshop, live projects and seminars throughout the year. The college very actively encourages many small startups and innovative thinking.
College Events
All the Indian festivals are celebrated. The fests of college include Prakash, Vision and Malhar. Prakash is the National technical fest of SVIT. Vision is the Inter-departmental fest of SVIT and Malhar is the college annual day celebration. The Prakash is one of the biggest fest of the whole year. Many students from different states come to SVIT to participate in different technical events and there's even celebration in the evening. Vision has many technical and non - technical events organised in the month of September. There are many cultural programs and appreciation ceremony during Malhar.
