Remarks

The best dental college in kerala. Good faculties. For better practical knowledge. Great hostel and facilities. I opted the course because I was sure that I want be a dentist and I dont regret taking up this course Extracurricular activities are also conducted by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are very knowledgeable with a lot of experience. There are enough clinical hours which helps us to improve our practical skills. Syllabus is also very good.Every year we have to learn about four subjects except for third year (only three ). 3 internals will be conducted by the college.At the end of each year there will be a university exam.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 1645000 per year

Placement Experience

It depends on our interests. Either can start our own clinic or can work in a private or government sector.

College Events

Great campus life.A little strict.There are many extracurricular activities conducted by the college. Onam, christmas and holly are celebrated.Arts day will will be conducted every year which lasts upto three to four days.

Campus Life

Good infrastructure. A basketball court and play ground is there.wifi facilities are not available in the hostel as importance are given more to studies. College have wifi facility in the library. There are sufficient equipments in the labs.

Hostel Facilities

Good hostel.Two students in one bedroom with attached bathroom.Good food.Good ambience. One female warden. Building has 5 floor. No lift. Generator facilitates available. Hostel is inside the campus. A prayer hall is also there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
