One how is looking for placement in MNCs at higher packages will definitely disappointed.Strictly saying placement is not so good.in fact it is below average for mechanical and electrical engg.However it is average for ECE and CSE.The good thing is that campus is 100% ranging free.Senior faculties are just like knowledge banks.you can learn so many things if you want.In 100 acres of campus it feels very good for both sports and technical activity. large play ground for almost any game.

I had appeared in aieee in 2011. My all India rank was about 1.5 lakh. But now one have to appear in iit jee main exam to get anmission in these colleges.Honestly saying I wasn't aware much about this college, I chooses this college just because of government eng. College. Secondly I was desperate about mechanical so I chooses mechanical.However CSE branch of this college is very good as per placement view.

It has almost all famous branches of engineering.Mechanical eng.Electronics and telecommunications engg.Computer science engg.Chemical engg.Civil. Engg.Course curriculum is govern by Punjab technical university.and this is very much similar to the curriculum followed in local IIT, ropar.Faculty are good but not all.Some of branches like chemical and CSe the faculties are top most.but on the other branches like ECE, EE and ME faculties are partial good, means some of them are very good having their higher degrees from reputed institute like iisc and IIT but some are not up to mark.

Strictly saying college will not help in internship.It is purely students responsibility to engage in internship at good place.According to punjab technical university all students have to go under internship two times in four year. First will be after second year for two months and second will be after 7th semester. Last entire semester is for major industrial training.Mine both internship was in Indian railway.I wont got any stipend.My nature of project was " rail coach maintenance and advancement of coaches".

Placement of mechanical and electrical are not up to mark.However some local companies like nestle india., sonalika tractors, p& t ( valve manufacturer), visited almost per year.And package is about 1.7 to 2 lakhs per annum.In big companies only volvo visited for mechanical in last two years.and only 5 to 6 students were placed with the package of 4.7 lakhs per annum.For ECE and CSE some company like TCS, Erp gurus, reliance visited in last two years.No. Of students placed of these branches is good and about 20 to 30 in each branch. And packages is around 1.2 to 2.5 lakhs per annum.

There are 4 to 5 events celebrated per year.One of the biggest technical events of our college is ISTE.Indian society for technical education.All technical events held in this fest.large no. Of colleges are invited to take part of this technical fest. SECA- Society for electronics and communication engg. This fest is organized by ECE department. Robotics, software development etc competition are held in this fest. VARONIKA, SME( SOCIETY FOR MECHANICAL ENGG.) And college annual fest are the main events.In which some sports, cultural, poem writing, singing, dancing etc are organised.

Fee structure : Initially it was much low as compared to any other colleges in Punjab about 62 thousands per annum including hostel rents. But gradually it hikes up to 57 to 60 thousands per semester including hostel rents. Not good because it is a Punjab government college.

There is no any scholarship provided for out siders ( students other than Punjab). Only single scholarship provided for the residents of Punjab are for category scheduled caste and scheduled tribes. Neither it provided any kind of loan.

A good gender ratio around 10:7 is present .Two things are outsating in this college first workshop labs and secondly the labs. Extra curriculum activity are also promoted here so widely. In both boys and girls. They are highly engaged in robotics, lab experiments, sports like cricket, foot ball, hockey, kabbadi, tennis, basket ball, badminton and athelets. College campus is full of Diversity's.Students from bihar, Assam, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, mp, up, west Bengal ect are used to study in this college.

There are 4 boys hostels and 2 big girls hosrels. Within campus.Pgs are coastly as compared to hostel rents almost 5 thousands per month. Up to 2nd year you have to share rooms with 4 boys in boys hostel and the same in girls hostel.There are 4 beds, lockers and 4 chairs in the room.and till 2nd years facilities are moderate.But after second year you will be provided single room which is quite comfortable as compared to previous one, but still you have to share bath rooms and toilets.Mess facilities are quite good .There are different diet per day .in any diet there are some sweets, seasonal vegetables, some day paneer etc is served.But non veg is strictly prohibited. Food is of very good quality. Mess bill may vary from 1800 to. 2300 per months as per some extra diets like additional miljs, cold drinks used etc.

College seniors are so much cooperative. They were very help full from the beginning of college life. They enhanced us in each and every field like in study, in sports and in any other activities within the campus. Some of them are placed at MNCs and some of them are. At isro, bhabha atomic research centre, in railways, bsnl etc.

Exam structure is as simple as degree colleges. External papers contain 60 marks question papers with 3 hours duration.There is semester wise exam pattern.Total no.of one paper is 100. In which 60 marks are external and 40 marks based on internal assessments.Labs are for learning with fun. In fact it is the place where one can have so many fun with full marks in test also.
