Remarks
Nutrition is gaining alot of scope these days. As people are busy in lives they do not care about what they need and that's where the role of a dietitian comes. I love to cook healthy and study about various health aspects of the body. Thus college has a great reputation and is best for the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
We did few surveys and that gave us quite the exposure. Many canteens and contests were organised which gave us experiences. Mostly the faculties were prepared with their lectures and the course told us everything that was related to home science be it nutrition or textiles or human development.
Placement Experience
My course did not had any company visits or placements because we are supposed to do a 6 month internship in a hospital after masters before applying for jobs. For internship PGI chandigarh used to come and select some students for internship with them.
College Events
The college fest AURA was a inter college fest and I was the part of the organising committee. Number of departmental activities were held and all students used to participate it in huge numbers. Cooking contests, seminars, workshops were managed by students efficiently and the result was always positive
Campus Life
Sports events were conducted every year, equipments in labs were appropriate but books were not updated in library for Home Science and no wifi was available. We usually used to get updated bokks as pdf from Internet or from faculties. They were always ready to help us.
