Lots of good points can be said about the college. Bad point is that the stipend is not given on time.
Entrance Preview
JSS University is a deemed university and has its own entrance examination for all courses. Entrance exams are conducted in Mysore and in Ooty.
Course Curriculum Overview
Pharm D course curriculum is approved by PCI(Pharmacy Council of India). Our college id approved by AICTE and certified by ACPE First of its kind in Asia Pacific Region and 5th in the world.
Internships Opportunities
Pharm D course has internship of 12 months in its 6th and final year. Stipend of Rs.5000 Given according to individual's attendance is given to every student. Students can opt any hospital for 2 months internship anywhere in the world.
Placement Experience
Placements are not as effective as it should be. As a growing field placements are done only for approximately 20% of the students.
College Events
District leve lsports event is conducted once in a year. National pharmacy week celebrations are conducted once a year for one week. Various other events and celebrations happen in the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is 1.25 lakh per annum. Hostel fees is around 30k per annum with triple sharing basis. Mess fess is monthly and comes around 2500 month. Now the fee for pharm d is 1.78 annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
College does not provide any scholarships as such to students. It provides scholarship to meritorious students at the end of their course. Provides assistance for bank loan.
Campus Life
Almost 70% of the population is female. Many national and international seminars workshops are conducted in college. Ragging is prohibited. No smoking drinking is allowed in hostel. In whole JSS is a good option to have with.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is triple sharing basis for boys and 4-5 sharing for girls. Only vegetarian food is prepared in mess.
Alumni/Alumna
College has recently started alumni network to all of its old students around the world. Students are participating in alumni meet every year at various places now.
Exam Structure
Exams are conducted once a year as annual examination for pharm d. 6th year has only internship and no exams. Exams are conducted by JSS University.
Faculty
Faculties are most experienced who can handle all kinds of subjects in the same course. Faculties undergo QIP once in a while to improve themselves. Almost everyone has their doctorate with them and the rest are in process of getting them.
