The last date to register @tnmedicalselection.net is Oct 17, 2025, and the choice filling portal will be open from Oct 18 to 21, 2025.

CL Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, one of the leading colleges of Chennai in the field of pharmacy. Tamil Nadu Chemists and Druggists Association on 1st December 1979 along with the Educational Trust decided to open a pharmacy college, as a result of which, the college was inaugurated on 13th July 1980 by Dr. H.V. Hande, the Minister of Health Government of Tamil Nadu.

The college has an approx. area of 6 acres which houses both the college as well as the hostel. The college offers various courses like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Ph.D., M. Pharm, M.Sc., B.TECH, M.TECH. etc. the college situated just a few metres away from Okkiyam Thuraipakkam road hence very easy to travel.

we can say disadvantaged are very few, bus facilities can be provided

Admission:

For b. pharmacy the candidate must have completed ther 10, +1 and +2 with a focus on science subject (physics chemistry/ biology and mathematics). Generally candidate need to secure minimum percentage of marks in 10+2 exams as specified by the college or relevant regulatory bodies. age limit mimimum of 17 years Interested candidates need to obtain and fill the form which can be downloaded form the college official website or acquired from the college office. Percentage of reservation: SC-18%, ST-1%, MBC-20%, BC-30%, BCM-3.5%, OBC- as per govt norms. Semister it il be 3 hrs, sessionals for 1.5 hours Admission process should be fast

For admission to the B.pharmacy courses, student must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology. Students have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in their Grade 12. Application form can be find in the college office

I like the way our collage encourages our extracurricular activities and sports .we had a lots of fun during the academic year of us and the lab facilities are grate and we can experience the practical classes very much

Dislikes

The drawbacks are the hostal fecility are not proper due to some reasons and bus fecility were not given by the clg and we have to come by govt mtc bus

I came by the councilling by mgr University .as I came by the councilling I had a very short admision process .I just took the required certificate asked and it was vary short and crisp and I scored da medical cut off of 158 In 2020

Several labortories are providing a good skill of practical knowledge and know things better.

Dislikes

classrooms are a little bit insufficient for several departments.
Campus is bit small when compared to the other campus.

This college was one of the top college in Tamil Nadu, and this college was the first college to start the course of pharmacy when compared to other colleges. When completeing you respective course from this college you would be eligible to attend any type of interviews as they also give a practice about the extra curriculum activities.We love to study in our college and we liked a lot to study specially in this college. A heartful thanks of studying in this college.

Sports and extra curricular activities can be better
Campus life is not so good they have a small campus no extra curricular activities

Admission process in this college has two options one through Paramedical counselling and the other by direct admission in which the candidates are selected by interview process. Eligibility of this course is that the student should have scored 50% in 12th board exams.

Campus is small yet a neat one to accomodate.

Dislikes

They could have provided scrub as other colleges than choosing a uniform one with a not so great design.
The campus could upgrade through design and interiors.
The uniform they provide is comparatively looking as working in a engineering college not a medical one.

Admission:

This college takes in students by both management quota as well as councelling method. The admission process is simple yet takes long time compared to other Colleges. Eligibility for this course is to complete 12th std. Application form can be either get from online or offline in college. Reservation benefits are simple, cause of you have applied then you should wait but you will definitely get in. Improvements to be seen in the application process is to fasten the process, cause it takes so much time than comparing all other ones.
