Remarks
Management was good but became very effective towards the last two semesters. The senior management was able to handle student problems very well and were very accommodating.
Entrance Preview
I took MPPET in 2001 and scored around 78% with maximum in chemistry section. This college was new but had a good representation in the counselling session.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had opted for Electronics branch and for the first two semesters we all had all the common subjects. From third semester we followed curriculum specific to electronics branch. In the third year we had electives such as computers, data structure,TV etc.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was not a prat of the program when my batch studied there. It was added later so I really have no idea about the stipend and other such offerings.
Placement Experience
We were the second batch only so the placements for our batch were not that great. But after third or the fourth batch the college invited some biggies to offer placements to the students.
College Events
We celebrated annual day function every year in the university auditorium at a grand level. The college encouraged all students to participate and perform in all such events. We also represented in inter-college cultural programs help at IT-BHU.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee was a little on the higher side. There were no scholarships as well. However the management and the college dean were quiet accommodating and would give some buffer to students who came from not so well backgrounds.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had not taken any loans for my college fees but i know some guys who had. As the fees was on the higher side and college was open to offering seats for students from all backgrounds there were a few students from my batch who had taken bank loans to pay their fees.
Campus Life
The college days were not robotic at all. We had all sorts of activities internal and external and were encouraged to participate. Labs, practicals, classes, lectures etc were all so balanced that we could take up some other hobby classes as well. I personally joined a gym and did some classes on communication skills.
Hostel Facilities
Initially for the girls they had a small hostel which we felt was a little unsafe. But soon we were shifted to a bigger hostel owned by the Gwalior University. We had all sorts of facilities there. We had an in house mess and staff who would cook food in our presence. It was safe as well.
Alumni/Alumna
I have not been a part of any alumni meet unfortunately but i keep getting invites. Students who attend alumni meet keep posting pictures and we see that these meets are grand and quite informative for current students.
Exam Structure
We had semester exams once in six months and internals twice in a semester. Internals were conducted in the first one hour of the day followed by the regular schedule. Semester exams used to be for 3 hours and were not very tiring. In between exams we had a good 3-4 days break.
Faculty
Some of the faculty members were fresh pass-out engineers from other colleges while some were very experience teachers who had work experience in various industries.
