Remarks

Well though the college infra structure is not the one that you would hope for the total area of college is rather small but i have realised that eventually that turned out to be in our benefit since we were able to connect to a large number of students due to the limited area of campus.

Entrance Preview

I did not appear for any competitive exams but i got in through merit basis in GNDU my 12th percentage was 84.4 % . I opted for this particular university because it is a reputed university it was referred to me by a few of my friends who were the students of this college the placement opportunities of this college are vast.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does not provide any provision for on campus internships one has to work his way to obtain internships if he wants to the college only provides a recommendation letter.

College Events

3.5

Lot and Team code of inter zonal youth festival Inter Zonal Youth Festival Schedule Revised Schedule of Youth Festival for C-Zone 2015 Youth Festivals Schedule 2015 Holiday Home Proforma sInter college sports meet yearly college festivals Technical fests called insignia cultural fest called JASHN Technicl festivals are much enjoyed and appreciated in our campus students from various other colleges come to ours to participate in the different competitions. The participation is huge and everyone is inclined towards being a part of the fest. There are various guest lectures by renowned professors from renowned institutes, various aptitude tests are conducted and the student body is responsible for organising and managing the fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is inbetween around 60 thosand for each even semester and around 50 thousand for an odd semester along with that 21 thousand for the hostel rent throughout the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

As such i am unaware of any loan facility provided by college though there are some scholarships provided by the college for those of economically weaker sections. There are proper meetings in which students present their case and the jury decides if or not to provide that scholarship to the student. The scholarship and the extent to which it is provided depends on student to student.

Campus Life

3

The life on campus has been one that will be etched in the memory throughout life it has had many many ups and downs and fun and sad moments. The extra curricular activities are abundant there is something or the other going on every second week be it sports or cultural activities. The labs are fully equipped with all that can be required according to the syllabus, there is ED lab,Mechanics lab. Computer labs,Electronics lab etc. Various competitions take place apart from the ones during the fest such as intercollege sports or in college sports competitions, proper participation is enjoyed and proper recognition for such events is made various robotic competitions are also held these are called mud rallies in which students make their own robots and fight them in the mud battles . Debates, declamation, extempore etc are conducted on monthly or bimonthly basis.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities are very mediocre the rooms are a little cramped with three girls in each room. The number of girls are in excess that is why some are not able to make the cut for a room in the hostel and have to suffice with PGs that are around the college campus. The pgs around the college are abundant some with food some without food and other such facilities the cost of living in pg ranges from 2500 to 4000 per month depending on the living arrangements and facilities provided by the land lords. The food can be rated as above average , you can live with it , it is not as bad as usually potrayed.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very vast and active as well as very helpfull we have an alumni group on facebook which is very active and very bent on making things easier for their juniors the keep us updated about various companies that have their openings various internship options and future career prospects we can connect with them on a personal level as well.

Exam Structure

The exams kept us on our toes throughout the semester since we had one internal exam each month and then a major semester examination along with that we had internal vivas for lab practicals as well as external so it was pretty hectic.

Faculty

3.5

I would rate the faculty of college as mediocre since the faculty is mostly comprised of permanent teachers and temporary teachers among the temporary teachers most are amateurs and novices hence are not very clear as to how to go about with the teaching and learning procedure. A few are very meticulous though and make sure to take classes give notes and do marking generously. Permanent teachers are mostly laidback and at ease and do not make much efforts to attend classes mostly give away assignments and assign presentations to students to complete the syllabus . A few no of permanent teachers are extremely thorough and very very helpful during college as well as after.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
