Remarks

As the institute is under SNDT Women's University and also the past performance and placement opportunities were good and also location is convenient to travel and the teaching and non teaching staff is so helpful

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is updated And there are two or three industrial visit conducted per year also the practical is knowledge is much better. Faculties are too good at teaching and in communicating with students and they present well as per their subject

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are much better also some companies were celebrating some events with our institution also they hire the talented and skilled students as well as the confident students

Extracurricular activities are too much also cultural programs are held each year also many events were going on with the help of council members and events are so inspirational and also give the opportunity to express our skills and talents

Campus Life

It is an 5 floors building with at least 4 Classrooms on each floor. Laboratories are well equipped. Library is also a huge in size and full with plenty of books Wi-Fi is also available sports facility are available for each sport

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
