Anonymous's Review On Amity University, Jaipur

I chose this college for my Journalism course. Amity is one of the top university in India for a Journalism course. The campus of Amity is beautiful and huge. And there are a lot of sports and art activities to join other than academics.

Amity's practical course was very much updated. But in terms of book knowledge, the course was outdated. Print journalism subjects course was from around 90's book. No, there was not any industrial exposure for our batch. However, our seniors had one. The faculties are really good and very frank. They worked with industry and also have great knowledge about media. Me. Somanath Sahoo who taught me TV Journalism, was very good, but he left college. So, Mrs Gayatri Rai is one of the teachers in our department who is very frank and much knowledgeable.

70% placements. Companies like, Zee, Republic, Ogilvy and many radios, PR, Advertising and Journalism companies used to come in Amity. And you can sit in other Amity branch placements too. Example in Noida Amity you can sit.

In every two months, there is an event. Odyssey, Cultural night, Freshers, Sayonara, AUR Fest, Technical Fest, Media Fest, Convocation Day, Amity Leadership Fest, Janmashtmi, dandiya nights, 15th august, 26 January, department farewell, college Farewell, Department Freshers, College Freshers and many more.

Over 80% in 12th board there was scholarships for 30% discount. And for above 90% board they give a 60% scholarship.

Campus was great. They have, different Sports grounds for (Martial arts, Football, Volleyball, tennis, badminton, horse riding, golf, cricket, kabaddi) 6 Dance Clubs, 1 Singing club, 1 Gym, 2 Drama Clubs, 2 Fashion clubs, 1 writing club, 1 Common room with games like carrom, pool, table tennis and many more.

1 flat with 3 rooms. Each room has 2 people. In rooms, you get 2 almirahs, 2 tables, 2 chairs. You are in a flat, so there is a common area where you can hang your clothes. On 2 cloth hangers given by amity. And with 1 common washroom and 1 common bathroom. Under the hostel, you can eat food on Nescafe from 10 Am to 12 Am. And you have 1 vending machine too in the hostel itself. And you can give free laundry and clothes for the press. And have an induction in warden office for milk boiling. And maids are there from 9 Am- 5 Pm.
