Remarks

As per my views I don't see much negative remarks about the college. But nowadays the management intervention and internal politics has increased which may effect the good standard that college is maintaining from many years. Overall I can openly suggest this college for students who wants to gain knowledge, but since it is located in developing city placement opportunity is less compared to urban colleges.

Entrance Preview

I scored 7000+ ranking in Karnataka C.E.T. As this college was not much far from my place. Also I studied in the same institution from many years and I knew about the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Similar to all other engineering colleges under VTU, it offers courses in Electronics and communication, Mechanical, Civil, Computer science and Information science.

Internships Opportunities

No intern ship was offered from the college since it was not a part of curriculum. If the student from his own contacts wish to attend any internship, they permit him/her to attend during semester holidays.

Placement Experience

2.5

It was one of the best compared to other colleges in the locality. In our batch around 40%-50% of the eligible students were placed. Placements are good for Electronics and communication, Computer science and Information science branches but its not that good for Mechanical and Civil.Companies visited: Infosys, Tech Mahindra, UST global, Accord, Indian Army, Green Print technologies, IBM, Mphasis. Packages offered: Average package was 2lpa to 4lpa

College Events

3.5

Yearly they organize a national level technical fest called "Jnana Sangama". Around 25-30 colleges participate every year. Yearly they celebrate annual day and many other cultural events which are restricted only to the college students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It includes university fee which was 33000 when I studied (Now it increased to 45000) and college fee is just 18000. Comparatively it not at all expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

No loans are provided by the college. It offers some small amount scholarships provided by few management people as a memorial.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is almost 50-50. Both boys and girls get same opportunities in all the fields. Campus life is moderate, you can enjoy a lot here. But they won't allow you to go beyond the cultural limitations, they are very strict coming to cultural values. Even though it is a Hindhu institution students from all the religion come here. It has a very big play ground which is very rare to see nowadays. People from all the economic background come here but they won't feel any discrimination here.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Good hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. All rooms are shared rooms, either 3 sharing or 4 sharing. Hostel fee comes around 2500 per month including mess charges. Advance payment will be around 15000.Hostels accommodate around 300 boys and 300 girls. Around the college there are lot of PG's available for both boys and girls which costs almost same as hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year they organize an alumni meet where students from all the old batches come and meet. Also they organize a student-alumni discussions to help the students to face the interviews.

Exam Structure

They follow the exam structure provided by the VTU. 3 internals per semester and semester exams. Every internal covers 2-3 chapters so it is not very hectic.

Faculty

4

We had many senior faculties who were very knowledgeable. Also we had few faculties who were just college passed out with a passion for teaching. But some faculties used to come to college just for the sake of earning money.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
