Remarks
You will find friendly teachers here. They are always available when you need like in practicals, theories and cultural events. They all are dedicated to their work, and we felt like we are in school but not in college. They constantly motivate us and scold us when needed. However, they help in many ways.
Course Curriculum Overview
I belonged to commerce background. Choosing B.Com as my graduation course was indeed an easy task because I wanted to take further my studies in Commerce only. AURA - The Annual Fest of I. T College is one of the most happening fest which is awaited every year. The faculty of Isabella Thoburn College is very supportive and well educated. The lectures are taught on regular basis which in turn help the students to gain knowledge and score well in the examinations. Proper guidance is being provided by the teachers.
Placement Experience
Every student opts for a higher degree here. So I haven't heard that any student got placed from our college. However, interviews are held by many companies like Oracle and all. Many of us also participated in them, while many others didn't participate. We weren't serious about placements enough because every one of us wanted to opt for M.Sc or competitive government exams. I don't have any idea about students who have joined companies after qualifying in the interviews. Elements HR was the major recruiter of my batch. Average package was of 2-3 Lacs p. a for the B.Com graduate fresher. There was no internship criteria in B.Com course in my batch. Top roles which were offered were of HR, for BPOs also students were selected.
College Events
I choose this course because I found it interesting. Subjects like accounts, economics and especially business studies was what intrigued me. The topics, syllabus these subjects cover should be modified and updated from time to time. Different events and fest were held in our college. They were also a list of scholarship to benefit students. And extracurricular activities like plays, choirs, etc. Were held to keep children out of boredom.
