Remarks

It is a prestigious institution known for popular lawyers, politicians, bureaucrats and other public figures, thereby contributing masterminds of administration. Centre of many revolutionary movements and thus imparting societal reforms.His Highness Maharajas Government law college Ernakulam is also the oldest of Law colleges in the State of kerala. BCom LLB (Hons ) is a rare and attractive course introduced here, and is available only in Government law college Ernakulam, whereas other government law colleges offer only BA and BBA courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since it was a new course, there is some confusion in syllabus, apart from that the course is yet the best, hopefully it will pave way for more career options as it is a double degree honours programme.

Internships Opportunities

I have opted for internships, first thing you have to do is to prepare a perfect CV that can highlight your experiences, skills, reasoning and leadership qualities. Apply firstly in non-governmental organisations learn the procedures, prepare your own understanding about it and then visit courts. Learn step by step. Initially you won't be provided with any stipend, but gradually with your efforts you will start to earn.

Placement Experience

Either you have to work under established lawyers as juniors or try for reputed government posts as well serve as legal advisors in prestigious firms.

College Events

Campus life is pretty good. We have several clubs like arts, sports, debate, so and so. And events are conducted by respective clubs most of the time. Apart from that there are other celebrations in connection with festivities.

Campus Life

Everything is good. We have the best library and people around kerala and outside reach there for research. We have good infrastructure and also access to all online journals and law sites. Best internet acces available, except in moot hall. Our moot hall resembles to that of an original court and it is first of its kind.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

From semester 5 the opportunity to get a job is out there. Many companies comes to interview and they swlect the apt ones. Sun, Mahendra etc are some of the companies i remember. The highesr package for freshers is like 15000 a month. There is a high percentage of students getting placements its 80-85%.My plan is to study masters.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.

I didn't apply for any other colleges. I had scored 92nd rank in 2020 KLEE examination so I eventually got the college that I preferred. I chose this college for its faculty, library, and also for its history plus its near to my home. The admission process is really smooth.
