Remarks

The faculty is as helpful as any other engineer college. There is a gym just for name's sake. Mechanical and computer department of this college are pretty active. In terms of placement, computer and IT department placements are pretty good, but other departments, not at all. Zero placements for civil department, negligible from EXTC and Mechanical. Admission process is through entrance exams coordinated by dte, but there are management seats too. No problems faced during admission process whatsoever. The induction program is pretty nice too for freshers. Most of the people who opt for this college are attracted to it because of its link to Sinhgad, but trust me there isn't any actual benefit due to the Sinhgad name. While searching for colleges, I preferred sites like stupidsid, careers360, etc. But according to me, it will be preferable to actually visit the college and talk to other students currently studying there. To sum up, the college is good, if the student has guts.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Mechanical students have the potential to experiment in various areas for career choices, if we compare them with other department students. The student faculty ratio could be roughly 1:40 The faculty is well qualified, but well. Qualified does not necessarily mean a good teacher. There are projectors used for teaching through slides, by many professors. There are good and bad teachers in every institution, it really doesn't depend on them if you wanna pass in an engineering exam. It thoroughly depends on the students. But yes, the teachers do help if we have any doubts. There are two terms in each year, so 8 terms throughout the course. Each term is divided in insem exam, practicals/viva exams, and end sem exams. The difficulty to pass varies randomly. But yes, if you are opting for mechanical course, you will have to study a lot. Unnecessarily lot.

Placement Experience

2

Students become eligible for campus placements in fourth year. Companies like tcs, Accenture, cognizant, Infosys, etc have visited the college each year. But the placements numbers are not that appreciable. Highest package you can dream of is 6 to 7 lacks per annum. Average might be as low as 2.4 lpa Placements vary according to the department. MECHANICAL : 5 to 10% Comp : 80 to 90% Civil : 0 to 1% EXTC : 5 to 10% IT :70 to 80% Most students opt for higher studies, some opt for off campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is pretty reasonable for a good engineering college. The college is pretty new though. 8-9 years. There are various scholarships and fees hike policies provided by the government. Not by the institution. There is no internship programs offered by the college.

Campus Life

2.5

Life at the campus is not anything like an adventure or anything as they depict in the movies. But yes, this college has a positive vibe around the campus. Sinhgad karandak, and tectonic are two annual fests celebrated with great enthusiasm. Library is limited to its resources if you want to study something off topic or outside the curriculum. The classroom is well equipped with benches, projectors, board. No complains there. Extra curricular activities are not paid attention to as much as they should be by the faculty. There are various Instagram pages of the college, and whatsapp groups too. Students of the college are friendly and helpful. But no official club or groups or websites.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
