Best education,excellent facilities,qualified faculty members,well-maintained infrastructure and satisfactory placements is what the college provides holistically.The college is a very good place to continue higher education and gain learning for a better tomorrow.

Course Curriculum Overview

In my opinion,I must say the course curriculum is really good.From basic concepts about what is corporate world to the advanced topics like stocks and shares,the students get to learn every bit of the business.The exams are a mix of practical and theory subjects and students need to have a strong command on the subjects to secure a good score for themselves.

Placement Experience

To be very specific,the college placements are really amazing.The students get an opportunity to sit and get selected in best of the companies with not only a good pay package but also where they are respected for their contribution.The college is the best to pursue BBA as the placements it provides are one of a kind.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total course fees is INR72,500 for 3 years divided to be paid in semesters.The fees charged by the college is economical and can be afforded by all students.They also provide scholarships to the students who need help in paying their fees.

Campus Life

The college has 50-50% of both the genders.The students study in a peaceful environment and the college doesn't entertain any kind of discrimation.The students from time to time are given opportunities to come forward and showcase their creativity in various events organised by the college annually and the participation in all of them is very enthralling.All thr facilities provided by the college are excellent and worth appreciating.

Admission

For BBA,it is required that the students who belong to General category have atleast 45% marks in their 12th exams and for OBC/SC/ST category students ,the score should be atleast 40% marks.The students are granted admission on the above criteria and then the other documentation takes place.

Faculty

The teachers aim at providing informative and interactive lectures to the students.They are cooperative and understanding and make sure students have no problem in getting the concepts of the subjects.The college faculty is well versed with their subjects and is highly experienced in their field .

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Faculties are good. Most them are very friendly
Class rooms and canteen are also good. Not the best
Fees are very low comparing to other collages

Dislikes

Not giving good placements. Only 1 or 2 good companies good. Others are average
I'm not interested hostel. But my friends in hostel always saying that the food is not good.
Some faculties are not treat all the students equal. Not every only some

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

Likes

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

Choices for a better future

I only applied to this college from my Sir's recommendation along with my senior. This college have a good facility to learn, to do lab, & to refer, the library facilities are too good. Our library contains around 70,000 books. We can apply in the college website with 100rs application fee. Or we attend several entrance exams. My life as a josephite

After the 12th i submitted the application online and i put st josephs as my first option and christ college as second. i got ibnto st josephs in the trial allotement itself and straightway joined into the college. Getting admission that too in self financing was not at all a difficulty as i had around 89%. But my friends who scored above 95% faced lot of struggle to get into the merit quota where the fee will be less. there also reservation plays a role. even a student with less than my mark got into merit seat just ecause she was in reservation. The reservation dramas will be there regardless of college. but getting an upperhand for the NRI students throughout the academic year in all ways just because they paid lakhs to join is a worst thing to have. especially the favouritsm of having no parents in town as guardian and having to stay at hostel....Read More
