Entrance Preview

I secured a seat via management quota as I was a last minute entrant. I was awed by the infrastructure of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was setup by Anna University. This is one of the best university in South India. The course was well-balanced and covered all major aspects of Computer Applications.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was mostly an individual affair. We had to approach companies and we were well received after sharing our credentials. The Management owns couple of industries. Some of the engineering students secured internship in these companies.

Placement Experience

3

We had all major Indian IT companies visiting for Campus placements. The average salary for an Engineer was approx 3-4L in 2006.

College Events

3.5

Almost all branches had their monthly new letters. I was editor for MCA department and as part of cultural committee we invited guest lecturers, organized symposium.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have heard of scholarship provided by college to those in need. But cannot authenticate this information.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network needs to be setup. As of now, there is limited participation among students. However, our immediate seniors were very helpful in guiding us.

Exam Structure

We had semester system and exams were conducted every 6 months. Almost we had regular tests conducted by college and surprise tests too.

Faculty

4

The faculty was very knowledgeable. All lecturers were Masters degree holders and our HOD was a PhD holder and pursuing further studies. Most of the faculty members were aiming for PhD or other studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took MCA to get placed into IT companies . The subjects in the MCA is very interesting but the students who studied UG course and then the pg course also in the same college then it is totally waste because they are studying the same subject again. Very bad thing is that in this college they are providing the same subjects and same syllabus for UG and PG students there is nothing different. But i have studies ug in other clg so for me it is different so i managed and it is interesting

Remarks:

I am MCA student. Before two days I research on government school or private school. According to my information, in study point of view, private schools are good but fees point of view are not good because poor families cannot pay money for private facilities. According to my information, other facilities point of view private institutions good compare to government institution.
