FDDI is pioneer in footwear education, probably one of the best institute in the Asia. It offers a great opportunity to learn and simultaneously have fun with friends. The best footwear designer belong to FDDI not to any other institute. Swati Mehrotra was awarded as the ""Best Footwear Designer"" at 16th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards"" and she did her graduation in footwear designing from FDDI. Not to mention that the footwear, leather and retail management course are the best in FDDI.

The course consist of 2 years. The course involves learning of designing with technicalities, carving, sketching, 3D modelling and different softwares for designing and much more. After initial sketching training students are provided trainings on digital platforms such as adobe illustrator, photoshop, autodesk etc. This course demands students to be hard working and passionate about footware designing.

The placements provided by institute is best. Placements after doing graduation goes for 2-4 lakhs and after masters course it goes for 3-7 lakhs depending upon the caliber of the students. Many recuriting companies like Zara, CK, Bata, H&M, Paytm and various other brands visit our campus for placement. If you search famous footwear designers in India, most of them would be from FDDI only.

The total fees for our 2 year course is 518,000 and hostel fees ( excluding mess) is 24,000 per semester. The fees structure is not economical and feasible. Students can pay their fees per semester in 4 installments which makes fee structure little reliable.

There are varieties of extracurricular activities like inter college designing competition, ramp walks, fashion shows, dance contest, play, sketching & carving competitions are organised by institute. Online webinars, Knowledge Festival, seminars by big organizations, fitness contest and beauty contest are organized by our college. These all contest and activities offer a chance to students to showcase their talent in front of everyone.

I select M.Des Footwear and Design as my career as footwear industry is growing day by day. There is a lot of scope in it. And this course helps in enhanching your designing and managing skills. I got admission in this course on the basis of my bachelor's degree in footwear & design and entrance examination followed by counselling process. The entrance exam consist of 4 sections are Quantitative Aptitude, English comprehension & Analytical ability, General knowledge & current affairs and Managment Aptitude Test. The exam is of 200 marks. Students can check sample papers for their practice on google.

Faculties are wonderful in our college. I found teachers here are more inclined towards benefit of students. All faculties have their own way of teaching. Teachers here motivate us to think out of the box and forces us to do more and more internships.
