Course Curriculum Overview

The duration of the course is 12 months divided into two semesters each.The course comprises of 29 modules (including the seminars and workshops).There are a total of 411 sessions that are conducted on topics such as event planning & execution, mass media industry, corporate branding, PR strategies, plans & concepts,media relations, client servicing etc.The course prepares the students to form a strategic communication with the firms & organizations through media channels and the press so as to crate a positive image of the company. The class timings are 9 am to 8.30 pm from Monday to Saturday. Seminars and workshops are conducted on Saturdays.

The job areas in this sector are PR agencies, NGOs, government departments, mass media news, entertainment industry, business corporations, specialist service providers, DNA networks, Book my show, Gen pact news India, Times group, TCS etc.The roles offered to the students are communications manager, PR manager, PR executive, Celebrity manager and many more. The average salary package ranges from 5 lpa to 7 lpa. Internships are mandatory and after completing the internship you may also be give a pre placement offer.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The tuition fees for the course is 2,19,000. The library and registration fees of 2500 each is to be deposited at the start of the semester. The total fees for one year is 26,3870 after including all the necessary charges. The hostel and mess fees are to be paid separately.The fees is a little bit expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Bank loans are available to students for educational purposes. Scholarship is offered to students who performed very well in the previous examination. Seats are also reserved for the female students. Fee concession is also given to students belonging from economically weaker sections, deense personnel, ex serviceman and freedom fighters.

Campus Life

The literacy fest know as ""ALFAAZ"" is conducted by the students of mass communication every year. It gives a platform to various eminent personalities to come together and interact with themes about the literacy art.Other activities include cultural fest, photo exhibition, orientation of new batches, MILAN, ISTORIA ETC. Moreover the students are taken to witness the proceedings of Maharashtra legislative assembly & council. Workshops and sports tournaments are also conducted from time to time.

Admission

To be eligible for admission in this college you need to be a graduate in science, arts, commerce or any other professional stream with said percentage of marks. The final year students can also apply for admission provided they produce the final mark-sheet of second year to the college admin office. There will be an online test conducted by the college. Based on that a merit list will be prepared. Those who have name in the merit list will be called for group discussion round and later granted admission.

The college has an amazing faculty who are always ready to help the students in the time of distress. They give us practical insight about mass media management and advertising agencies so that we get diverse perspectives and knowledge which are given to us by the professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses which are offered are very up to date and give and actual conceptual understanding of the topics the courses are such that it is relevant to the real world applicantions and program our mind in thinking in a research and analytical perspective. I think the current course curriculum is enough and really good no need to improve further. Frequency of exams are 2 months Midsems and endsems and quizzes in Between then.
