Course Curriculum Overview

The duration of the course is 10 months. The course trains the students for diversified skills and hoe to handle the tasks in media & social management. We have 22 modules and three workshops and the core subjects include news reporting, print production, photojournalism, specialized niche writing, web designing & production, editorial & research writing etc. We would have three to two session everyday. The first session starts from 9 am and the last one ends on 8.30 pm. The day sometimes get a little bit hectic but is manageable as everyday we learn something new and creative about the media industry.

The job areas in my course are advertising companies, media management companies, editing & reporting, corporate communication, film production, public relations etc. Students were offered the roles of media consultant, social media executive, copy editor, media lab assistant, video editor, speech writer and many more. The highest package offered to my batch mate was 11 lpa in the field of communication officer. Internships were mandatory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The tuition fees for the course is 2,71000. Other than that you need to deposit a fees of 2500 at the time of admission which is non refundable. Library fees of 2500 is also to be deposited. Thus the total for one year is 32,5230 after including all the necessary taxes.

Campus Life

Istoria-Pop the future is the annual event organised by the PR students which is a two day event. Nextly we have the MERAKI event organised by the film & video production so that we get a sneak peek in the film industry. Other activities include photo exhibition, social outreach program, campaigns on media industry, theater, annual con-ovation and orientation. Sports meet is also organised by the sports committee of the college.

Hostel Facilities

The class rooms of the college are well maintained and fully air conditioned. We also have a technical room for audio-visual requirements during seminars and lectures. The canteen of the college has many snacks options such as pasta, pav bhaji, south India and north Indian food, burger, pizzas etc.The hostel rooms are quite big and spacious provided with a attached bathroom, WiFi facility, water coolers, laundry facility, 24x7 electricity, an almirah for personal belongings etc. I would rate the facilities as 8.5/10.

Admission

The students who have a graduate degree in mass media, arts, science, commerce or any other professional course are eligible to apply. Other than that you need to clear the online entrance exam as prepared by the university. If you clear the exam, an interview will be conducted on Skype or in person. Therefore a merit list will be prepared on the exam score and the percentage in graduation. You will be called for document verification and granted admission.
