The course curriculum is very diverse and interesting. It covers a lot of areas pertaining to the various minutes of cinematography. The subjects are practical in nature and are learned by practice however the practical part is backed by theories which helps the students to understand the concepts better.

The placements are pretty good, the placements for my course ranges from 4 lakhs to 12 lakhs p.a. The average placements are around 5.5 lakhs which is decent. There are a lot of internship opportunities offered by various media houses and digital platforms throughout the year.

The fees structure pretty flexible, ensuring that students don't have a hard time while paying the fees. The total fees for my course is 4,00,000 including hostel charges and all the other supplementary charges. A number of scholarships are also provided for the students.

Yes, the college offers a lot of good scholarships to it's students. The criteria for selection depends on various parameters. a number of scholarships are offered on the initial enrollment to the course, the criteria for such scholarships is the JET score. Then scholarships are provided at various stages throughout the course. Like the 'Vidhu Vinod Chopra Scholarship' offered to the Topper of second semester result of Film Direction & Screenplay Writing Course.

There are plenty of extracurricular activities offered A number of sports like football,cricket and basketball . The one-day cricket match between students and Alumni of the FTII is a long standing tradition. Moreover, the campus also has a gym and a pool. At FTII students come from all walks of life and there is a lot of diversity, the gender ratio is almost equal and the class environment is casual but disciplined. Students can avail the benefits of a video library.

I had opted for the on-campus hostel as it was very affordable. The total charges inclusive of the rent, internet, food and various other expenses amount to 39,000 for 6 months. along with being affordable the whole hostel experience is amazing. There are a few strict rules that we have to follow but all in all, the hostel is really clean and offers a quality option to students to stay at.

I had applied for the Three Year PG Diploma Course In Cinematography at FTII and was really excited about it, I had given the JET and my score was pretty good so I was called for the Orientation and the interview. The interviewers were pretty witty and asked a few tricky questions so it was a tough nut to crack considering there were only 10 seats, after that the final scores were put up on the website and I had my name on the list. Thereon, it has really been a joyride for me.

The faculty of FTII is really amazing. The professors are really experienced and learned. Teachers don't adhere to the conventional ways of teaching, they are very innovative in there ways and ensure that the learning experience doesn't get boring for the students.
