Entrance Preview

No Need of Any Entrace examinations pure money speaks volume in this university.The university does conduct an entrance exam but it's a big sham to fool the officials.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was very archaic and does not meet the industry standards.It's more like an 12th standard school. Where you sit in class for more than 8 hours and listen to boring lectures.It is a deemed university with own course and curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

There is no such concept in our college .No internships nothing.All Final year projects are done outside with the help of third party project sellers.

Placement Experience

Placement oppertunities are much better when compared with other engineering colleges located in 2nd tier cities of tamil nadu. Most of the companies are software services and the average salary offered was 300000 per annum. Out of 5000 students 1000 got placed ,although this is very low it is much better when compared with other engineering colleges of tamil nadu.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say it's quite expensive .Not worth the education. However the facilities are marginally better when compared with other colleges .I guess it approximately 100000 per year.

Campus Life

Campus life is very dull and boring. Girls and boys are separated. Actively punished If seen mingling and talking. Mostly girls and boys are separated even in class rooms . Extra curricular activities are very rare.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is bad and events are conducted very rarely.There was one event that was conducted way back in 2012,which was a one off event with just 1/4 of the students attending.

Exam Structure

Every year there are 2 semester exams which are important. The exams are conducted by the own board of the college and it is very easy to pass the exams. Some time periodic tests are conducted in between ,however not much importance is given to it .Internal marks are awarded based on your obedience level to teachers.

Faculty

Faculty are by no means high class.some even lack basic english skills.The Faculty program in sathyabama works like whoever finish their M.E in our campus are reabsorbed as faculty thereby providing them valuable employment opportunities.

Self studying college with no enjoyment

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Only a limited number of companies visit the campus. The common recruiters are mostly mass hiring IT service companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, and a few local startups. Core companies rarely visit the campus. Very few students get placed directly on campus. For example, in my batch, less than 25–30% of students received offers, and most of them were in IT support roles rather than core engineering jobs. Salary Packages –Highest Package: Around 4.5 – 5 LPA, offered by a software company. Average Package: Around 2.5 – 3 L

- from the 4th year or 3rd year after getting good internship - i am in second year so no compnaies as of now but i went for workshops in bharat biotech -Highest in my branch like 7 Lpa and minimum 3 Lpa - 80 percent getting placements rest for masters - sit for placements to get good placemnte between 5-7 lakhs

I have applied for GITAM, BITS but I have chosen Sathyabama over all these colleges, as the college is having good infrastructure and really delicious mess food along with good placements and faculty. I did not apply for any quota as it is deemed university. I have written its university exam. I got admission through that exam. In counselling, I asked them the Electronics and communication engineering. They have given them the course I asked for. There are no minimum marks or age criteria. First of all, the infrastructure and the reviews among the people played a greater role in selecting this college. The college has a very good infrastructure and the campus is always lit.
