I am extremely happy in the challenging and academic atmosphere of SRM University. It has helped ms to nurture various aspects of me including music,social skills and management skills. The technical and cultural fest's have given me exposure to various prestigious institutes like IIT Madras and NIFT. I have made many new friends and also mentors who are helping me various projects and are helping me to fulfill my dream to become an engineer and help the community. During the floods. SRM has taken good care of all the students and have also given shelter to many victims of this flood which embodies its nurturing nature.

I took up JEE mains and scored 93 marks in it. I also took up SRMSAT and VITEE. I even gave other competitive exams like CLAT and got an air of 206.

The curriculum is excellent spread over technical as well as non technical subjects. The wise selection of languages and energy conservation subjects has helped the students to widen their area of excellence.

I had done internship in p&g ambipur division. It was a management internship and it was educational with no stipend offered. I have also done inplant training in vinayak electrical Mumbai on switchgear devices and distribution systems. Even though I am pursuing electrical engineering I have done an internship in spot on gossip magazine as a columnist and has earned 2000 rupees for a month. I have also done industrial training in ALSTOM India in chennai and it has been a life changing experience for me. I have also taken up various online courses offered by IITs and have attended many seminars hosted by IITs. I have also applied for many electrical workshops to be held in Sarang 2016 in January. My college has given me ample opportunities to lead my future in a successful manner.

The placement quality is really good. This year a approximately 6000 students got placed in reputed firms like TCS,Infosys and Cognizant with an average package of 3-4 lakhs p.a. The core companies have offered packages up to 10 laks. The companies like GE,Flipkart and Amazon are also hiring deserving candidates.

The university celebrates 2 events per annum. The technical fest called AARUSH which is multidisciplinary and inter college competition and a cultural fest called MILAN which encourages the spirit of music,art and dance.

The fee structure can be adjusted a bit. Along with tuition fees of 1.85 lakhs p.a the book fees and CDC development fees of 15,000 should be remitted. The book fees and CDC fees should be included in the tuition fees.

The university offers sports scholarship and merit scholarship based on ranking of SRMSAT and board marks. Easy and accessible educational loans are available from all leading banks in India and abroad to study here as SRM university also hosts international students.

As it is an engineering college so the ratio of girls to boys is much less but there is no discrimination and equal opportunities are provided to all. The dress code is appropriate and non provoking and safety of female candidates is given priority. The hostel gates are closed after 9 pm which gives proper time to study as well as safety is ensured. The guards are also vigilant and it has excellent atmosphere for future challenges and great academic growth.

The hostels are well sufficed with proper electricity,water supply and great hygiene. The room sharing includes 3 members and it helps in maintaining cordial and friendly atmosphere. The mess food is also of good quality and hygiene is prioritised as an important factor.

The senior students are extremely helpful and cooperative. I write this from my own experience as I am a member of music club in my college and the seniors have helped to come out strong and confidently overcome the stage fright. I have successfully acquired a cgpa of 9.5 with the help and support of my seniors. There has been no complaints of ragging in past 15 years in our university.

The exams are challenging and conveniently managed with proper grading schemes and lots of projects and seminars to widen our technical knowledge and prospects.

The faculty is empowering and supportive. They have excellent knowledge in their area of expertise and is encouraging in nature. I have always been helped by my teachers at any time. My hod has even given me permission to apply for an internship which can extend up to 2 months and he has granted od and also shifted the exams as per the convenience of the students. The teachers make the lectures very interesting by various power point presentations,field trips and seminars by eminent and leading scientists and professors from IITs and other government sectors like NTPC,Marine institute of India and other companies like Ford and Bosch. The faculty is ready to help every time and they even take extra classes on weekends. The faculty members also supervises all the projects and helps out during any difficulties.
