Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE examination and scored AIR-54000 .I opted for this college as it is a very good college with a guarantee of cent percent placement and the fee was in my my parents budget also.

Course Curriculum Overview

Total eight semesters. Two semesters per year and two cycle tests of each subject, one modal exam for each subject and one final university exam for each subject, this together makes one semester to get passed.

Internships Opportunities

We did not had the system of stipend, we use to do internship at external sources. Like I din my internship in Thermal Power Plant, Kota and at Rajasthan Electronics and instrumentation Limited (REIL).

Placement Experience

Till december 2014 almost 90% of the students were placed and I was also one of them.I got placed in 2 esteemed companies. They are the following Capgemini, iGate.

College Events

We use to have all sought of college events such as Innovate - It was our technical festival, which was celebrated in every september of the year. Roobaroo - It was our cultural festival, which was celebrated in every January of the year.The Vert - It was our sports meet, all sports competitions inter-college come under vert.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A little expensiveDuring my time, when I took admission in 2011 it was 150,000 per year (tuition fee) but later the next year it got increased to 185,000 per year for the students which took admission in 2012.

Fees and Financial Aid

NO. My college cannot give anything in free, but once it gave opportunity for SAP-Semester Abroad Program for the students who will score above 9.8 GPA in the running semester, but unfortunately later nobody scored that much.

Exam Structure

Exams and Laboratory exams were very frequent.It take the hell out of us, nobody like those as they take place every second week.

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
