Course Curriculum Overview

My course curriculum was deep and engaging. Faculty contributed heavily to the understanding of the content. We have two midsem examinations and final exams as well. There is also a dissertation that students must give by 4th semester for postgraduates.

Placement Experience

There isn't any on campus placement for most of the courses. Some of the Bachelor's degree might have placements, however, officially there is no placements being made by the college. Placements might start soon.

College Events

There are a few events which get celebrated in our college. In October, the college celebrates its Foundation Day in which many students participate to display their talents. They also celebrate major national holidays.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees required are not expensive. The postgraduate courses cost Rs. 30,000 per annum and the other Bachelor's courses cost around Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 and diplomas are even low as Rs. 10,000 per one year.

Campus Life

Extracurriculars are exciting. The college organizes drill classes, yoga classes plus martial arts exercises like karate and students also make exhibitions and models of their course content. They usually display them on foundation day.

Admission

To gain entrance into a postgraduate course, you need to graduate from any bachelors course with at least 50% marks. After this, you can apply to JRSU and take two more exams. They are the common entrance exam (weighed at 60%) and the course exam (40%). Depending upon your performance, you will be selected.

The faculty is very intelligent and support students a lot. They are great teachers and have come from very reputable universities like Delhi University. They encourage a lot of research work by the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Like everyone knows in which carriculum they are interested ,similarly i know i have a keen interest in my subject i.e. physics . We can't see physics as a theoretical and mathematical aspect but in our daily Life we use to experienc it . Like if something is fell down there is a reason behind that is gravity .we use to experience physics in our daily life . Some teacher use to make us feel for that subject but someone make us bore sometime. It happens rarely but sometime it happens. So i suggest them to change some activity Like teach with more energyso tha we can't get bored. Sometime we get very lengthy paper in the exams so everyone have to prepare before the examination with high speed.

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements and PPOs. Tata motors, Tata Powers, Jindal Steel Limited, etc with an average number of 5-6 students. In my batch highest package was 11 LPA in Tata Steels and overall average package was 6 LPA. Around 40% students were get placed in my batch. Preparations for government examninations to get into PSUs.

Placements in our college start from 7th sem, some internships in 6th too. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini visited. Highest package around 12 LPA, average 3.5–4 LPA. About 70–75% students placed, others go for higher study or govt exams. My plan is to try campus first, then off?campus or masters later.

I has a vision to study English from the very beginning. I wanted to study English since i was good at English and also the most important thing was me being an isce student upto class 12 which inculcated a strong English base in me English as a subject is very vast. As the world is heading towards modernisation English has become a very important thing. Gossner college has good English professors and also i heard a lot from most of my seniors that gossner college has best English faculty. The frequency of exam is 2 exams per semester where the portion tought in the syllabus is asked and it's not very easy and not very tough too

Mechanical branch in terms of number of students placed is quite high but if it is about how many students get elite packages it's less. The average for our branch at our college is 8-9 lakhs but top companies which are into our core space for long are our college partners.

BIT Mesra is humongous!!

Placement Experience:

My plans after degree is to pursue masters or right away get on with my family business as we are already into trading chemicals. However, from the number of students from our stream that apply for jobs through campus, over 80% are placed from campus. Labs to industries that deals in manufacturing of chemicals and exporting the same are the ones where students of our college get the opportunity.

Highest package from our campus is eye catching as it's 56 lakhs and for chemical branch it was 34 lakhs. BITS Mesra is Magnificent!!

Placement Experience:

From second semester we are taken for an hour session for special training. It is optional till 4th semester but from 5th semester onwards, it becomes mandatory and we have no choice but to go through that hammer. Finally, from the last year's 1st semester companies starts coming and we can apply for the same and that is how placements are done here.

Bigger with smaller.

Firstly i have filled the form offline through gmail process and by giving cuet and after that the provisional merit list came out and i went to college. After that a small interview was taken and till evening the admission process was completed who passed in the interview and final merit list was declared. Application fees was 450. There should be some improvements in admission process of the notifications we do not get notifications soon as the site is not being operated properly regularly....Read More

To be eligible for BSc Forensic science u must have completed your 12th level in science subject either PCB or PCM. The application form is available in the office of JRSU (offline) or u can apply online on the official website of JRSU. U can also download the application form from the website & submit it to the office by filling in the particulars.
