Entrance Preview

I was selected based on my overall total marks out in my board exams. I was planning to take a course related to electronics or computer science. The only course available to me was IT.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum was kind of screwed up. I had mathematics for only 4 semesters, out of which 2 are basic engineering papers. No PQT, no Theory of computation. Our electives were not exactly electives.

Internships Opportunities

Internships were generally for the people who got high grades and GPAs. If you had 9.0 GPA you could practically do anything you want. Semester abroad, or work with any company. If you had a GPA less than 8.0, your options are limited. Nothing stops you from trying any off campus opportunity. If you get selected in such an opportunity, you are free to take any Internship anywhere you want.

Placement Experience

4.5

Awesome. A lot of companies come do come to the college. Dream jobs like amazon, ebay came during my days and I think there are a lot more coming now. There is no shortage of IT jobs.

College Events

5

A lot of events happen. Symposiums, technical and cultural fests both inter and intra college happen during the academic year. Those days are great fun to be around the campus. The most memorable moments of my college days are those days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I do not remember the fee structure, but it was feasible. I payed around 1.25 lakhs a year, which included tuition, hostel room rent and food. The mess bill was monthly around 2000 to 3000.

Fees and Financial Aid

It was the only thing I was very unhappy about. There were scholarships available for a few people, but thats the thing few. I rarely know people who had a scholarship from college. And even loans I was not aware of Maybe there was, but I was not aware of. A lot of people were not. It gives you the impression even if such is there, it is not for everyone.

Campus Life

4.5

A lot of extra curricular activities do happen in the college. A lot of workshops, seminars, and activities to learn new things do happen know and then. The college had a great culture with regards to extra curricular activities. You have a lot of time and opportunity to pursue your interest.

Exam Structure

We did have breaks between every exam. We get ample time to revise for the exams. Sometimes the breaks are not enough for some exams, owing to the nature of the subject.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty were in general great. Some were bad, had no clue what they were lecturing about. But most were great. If you wanted to know about something, they pointed you to the right sources. They were ready to help you if you need any help academically.

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Only a limited number of companies visit the campus. The common recruiters are mostly mass hiring IT service companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, and a few local startups. Core companies rarely visit the campus. Very few students get placed directly on campus. For example, in my batch, less than 25–30% of students received offers, and most of them were in IT support roles rather than core engineering jobs. Salary Packages –Highest Package: Around 4.5 – 5 LPA, offered by a software company. Average Package: Around 2.5 – 3 L

The study is average in this college. At first before coming to the college the i was really excited to learn about the hot topics that are trending now a days, i must say that i had a lot of expectations from the college but sooner or later I understood that the college does not have the curriculum that supports my excitement so I think course that i choose for does not meet my excitement.

This curriculum prepares me to apply the knowledge in Workplace which I gained from my college. How to be nice with others and in general how to approach some one. The placement areas and the aptitude area where course should be improved. The frequency and the timings of exams are releatably more common in all other colleges.
