Excellent experience

College is very well funded and has excellent computer facility. College also has excellent placement record.

I took AIEEE exam in 2003 and scored rank 2003 rank at India level. I primarily opted for this course and college because I had heard that they have good professors and excellent placement.

Course curriculum was standard for normal courses. However, they had some interesting electives on finance and management course which helped me later in my MBA

There was no internship program. That's how its in most of the Bachelor level courses in most of the colleges in India. Since there was internship program, there is not stipend involved. However, people did some internship in some technical companies.

College has 100% placement. NIT Trichy placement is one of the best among all NITs. In fact, it was as good as IIT Chennai at that point of time dont know how it is these days. Companies like Intel, IBM, Texas Instruments, Google, Microsoft, Tejas Networks, Flextronics, Accenture, Analog devices, Goldman Sachs, Mu Sigma, GS etc visited the campus

College holds lot of events. Pragyan is the best festival or event. In this event, college gets huge amount of marketing budget that is utilized very well in terms of inviting excellent guest speakers, organizing events and marketing at international level.

Fee structure is very genuine as the college is well funded by the Government. At that point of time, per year fee was INR50K. I think it might be double today.

College doesn't offer scholarship or loan. However, college does have a tie up with State bank of India, who offers loans at good rates.

Hostel life was good. Since college is outside the city and has lot of open land, it provides good place for have fun College usually has 50% Tamil students and around 35-40% rest of the colleges. 10-15% are NRIs students.

Hostel facility was good but mess food was very bad. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Quality of the beds was also good. However, many a times, we use to go out to eat.

Alumni for NIT Trichy is very active. Especially, in Bangalore and Chennai. Alumni has hired one managers and placed her in campus to enable good communication between students and alumni.

There were frequent exams and laboratory. Though, most of the time it was ok, sometime it use to become hectic. Marking was comparative and one needed to work really hard to score good.

Except or two, faculty was excellent. They were tough some time but that helped us in pushing ourselves. Professors also presented content with good examples that helped us grasping the content.
