Entrance Preview

I got into the college through Karunya entrance exam .The exam is fairly simple in comparison to other prestigious colleges. So if you can crack simpler entrances like UPTU, you can do this as well. Interview is just a formality .

Internships Opportunities

The internship was provided by companies during 4th year .The stipend is usually not good . In fact, Some of the students paid and got internships .

Placement Experience

Most of the companies which come to Karunya are IT companies . They usually hire students in good numbers . Even bioinformatics and biotech people had to join IT as there were no core companies .

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are comparatively cheaper than other universities that i have heard of .At my time this was the structure . 40000 for odd semester, 75000 for even semester .Mess fees were extra ranging from 1500 to 3000 per month .

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships based on merit basis or sometimes are given as financial aids . Students can avail other state scholarships as well .

Alumni/Alumna

I am not aware of any alumini network, and not in touch with the college. They had initiated creation of a good network, I dont think its successful.

Faculty

At my time there were mostly teaching assistants . They used to take our classes . There is a scarcity of good faculties . There are very few who know the subjects themselves .The focus of the lecturers is on course completion and not on the subject .

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.
