Course Curriculum Overview
The course combine both practical & theory to help the students learn the important aspects of journalism and public relations in the media world.We are introduced to subjects like Media relations & writing, Organizational behavior & HR policies, Media advocacy, Ethics in PR. We are also given practical training in each subject so as to help us gain practicality in public relations and management.The duration of the course is two years divided into four semesters.
Placement Experience
My batch mates this year are placed in media companies like Star network, Viacom, Discovery channel, NDTV, SONY, history tv 18 etc . The highest package offered was 10 lpa and the average was 6 lpa. Summer internships were also provided by the college council for those students who want to have a work experience in the field of public relations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees was 1000 per semester. A one registration fees of 150 is to be deposited at the start of semester. The grand total for one year comes down to 5250 including all the other fees. The fees is really very feasible and affordable for me.
Campus Life
We have three separate cells for student grievance , student guidance and placement cell to interact with the students and solve their problems.A series of journals, surveys, research studies & projects are done to boost the morale of the students.Our college also offers yoga sessions to students who are fitness freaks. The music & dance center provides daily dance sessions to be practiced for upcoming inter college dance competition.We also have a film club which organises film appreciation debates in order to show the creative art to its members.We also have a DEFEST every year in which all the sports & cultural activities take place and at the end of which winners are announced.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are pretty good and spacious. We are provided with an almirah for personal belongings. WiFi, electricity is also provided to us so that we do not face any issues later on. The canteen & mess facilities are also very good and we have different dishes prepared everyday according to the college student council.I would rate the hostel facilities 4/5.
Admission
You can get admission in this college if you have 50% marks in your graduation subject.The concerned subject should be main/subsidiary or optional from any recognized university. 5% relaxation is given to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.You can apply online for the course that you are seeking admission in. The admission will strictly be done on the basis of merit.
Faculty
The teachers of the college are just brilliant and enthusiastic. They teach the students with the same vigor even after having such a hectic schedule everyday. Every doubts are answered on their behalf.They help in achieving our goals so that we become real shakers & movers behind the PR people and lobbyists.
