Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is similar to regular universities. We use similar texts and references as other day colleges in Bharathidasan University. The exams are conducted online on the same schedule as semesters in regular colleges.

Placement Experience

The placements and job opportunities of the college are great! However, since I studied B.A Tamil, most of my classmates, myself included, preferred to go for higher studies. But in the professional courses, many got placed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a state university, the fee is quite affordable,even though so much of technology is involved! My B.A Tamil fees cost around Rs 7000 overall, with Rs 2327 payable annually. I'm quite satisfied with the rate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the Bharathidasan University offers a scholarship to two varieties of students. If you have studied UG in this college and take PG here itself, you get 10% off. And 50% of the fee is waived for disabled students.

Campus Life

Since it is distance education, we do not have to attend college. The B.Sc students do go in once in a while for labs but we do not. But we are always welcome to take part in cultural and sporting fests arranged by the university.

Admission

Bharathidasan University, Centre for Distance Education is one of the rare institutions across the country which provides distance education par excellence. I applied online with my board marks and was selected on merit.

We have doubt forums and we effectively use that to solve the problems. We get study materials and have regular online webinars. These are used to clear our doubts face to face with a subject professor.

Life and Difficulties at SRM University from honest POV

Placement Experience:

the placements start from third year. there are multiple oncampus companies that visited like juspay,zs associates, cognizant,accenture,capegemini and etc. the average package is aroung 5,00,000 the percentage of student is around 60-70 around this year but its still going on by this march.
