Remarks
The college has a friendly and warm environment, it being a residential campus. The students mingle well with each other and maintain a good rapport. The cafeteria is alright but has some scope for improving.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are around 7 to 8 courses in each semester such as agronomy, soil science, entomology, horticulture, remote sensing, statistics and agri botany, agri economics. The theory has 60% weightage and the practicals has 40%.
Placement Experience
There is a high demand for agricultural graduates in the recent times and hence placement is no problem. Many companies, including banks, come for campus selection and hold interviews for the students to sit through as a selection process.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college is a residential campus and the students have to compulsorily stay on campus till they are studying here. The fee for the course of M.Sc. is ?44,350 per year and the hostel charge is INR 10k for the students, which is included in the yearly fee.
Campus Life
The college has a separate sports complex which has a huge cricket group. The college has a helipad on campus which looks extremely classy. Inter college and inter University competitions were organised by us for extra curricular.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are provided by the university where one room is allotted to 3 students. Hostel fee is included in semester fee, Rs. 10,000 a year. I had to pay the meal charges separately from the hostel fee.
Admission
The college holds a common entrance test which the students have to qualify. After my qualification and gaining good scores, i was given a call for admission and was asked to choose the campus of my choice. I chose Navsari campus. I then had to pay my first semester fee to start the classes.
Faculty
The faculty is highly experienced and has extensive knowledge regarding these subjects. They have Ph.D degrees and are experts in the field of agricultural research, horticulture and soil science. They are ranked according to experience.
