Entrance Preview

I gave KIIT entrance exam, I scored quite well, rank was about 2000, and I opt for this because it's near from my home located in kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I am in second year, not much well adversed with curriculum yet, but seems interesting as of now,and yes it's as per IIT curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

Till now I haven't opt for any internship. But yaa did it from intershala, and it was good overall, learnt basic about marketing statergy, and did some thing out of box from my course.

Placement Experience

It's good, big companies like amazon, royal Enfield, Microsoft, hp, Lenovo do come,and 90% of the students are always placed.

College Events

Events like KIIT fest, and dj nights,and underground do take place, there are many number of events which take place.O ut of them kiit fest and MUN gets most of the Sponcers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure, it's expensive, quite expensive, 24lakhs for 4 years,and taking in consideration your own cost plus fees it sums up to 35 Lakhs. However it's worth it and one should ho for it.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarships are offered by college, but for girls there is separate quota for admission. Which helps them get admission easily with not so good rank in good stream.

Campus Life

Every competition, lab experience are all satisfaction to me, all equipment are modern, debate is at its peak with KIIT MUN society, workshops happens quite often.

Exam Structure

Exams structure is just fabulous, I mean you need to give exams a bit earlier than most of the colleges, but you get good amount of holidays.

Faculty

Faculty are very good, but some of them are just horrible, doesn't even know how to teach basic things. Otherwise except few, it's overall good and all faculty degrees are quite interesting, many of them are from IIT.

A well rounded campus life with industry oriented growth in college

Placement Experience:

placement at cv raman global university are good especially for cse/it . student becomes eligible from the 7th semester and compinies like TCS, infosys, wipro,capgemini, cognizant and ibm visit regularly. the highest package is around 15 lpa and average package about 4 to 5 lpa . aroud 80 to 90 % of cse/it student get placed. while non core branch recive fewer core offer but still get it/services opportunities. after my degree, i pland to start my carrier to higher studies for making me as a proffersor.

My first impression of the college I chose

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

IITs offer a very good package actually. Being a second generation IIT, our college is growing day by day and our professors are working very hard to improve the placement activities. Although it is not that much bad. Average package in our college is more than 10 lakhs.

KIIT has lost it's eminence and it's fame for quality education and good placement records

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
