Remarks

I don't have anything negative to say about my college. It is the best government college where modern teaching methodologies are adopted to make us ready for any field. The fees is very less and the quality of education provided is good. There is a calm and soothing environment in our college which provides us a better place to live here.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is a 2 year degree in which we mainly perform research work about fruits ,their management, biotechnology and GAP in fruit cultivation. The course structure is advanced that include topics like tropical and dry land fruit production, biodiversity and conservation of fruits crops. Our curriculum is designed in such a way that it ensures learning with fun.

Placement Experience

4

There are many job opportunities in this course as you can apply for the post of technical assistant or technical officers in Agricultural Universities ICAR, DRDO, IARI, & CSIR. Proper guidance and support is provided by the faculty and proper training gives us an insight of the industry.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of our college is very feasible just like other government colleges. Here we are given good quality education at minimal charges. There are many scholarships provided to students on the basis of merit lists, which adds cherry on the cake. The fees here is submitted in yearly basis which makes it more easier to pay.

Campus Life

This college has a big campus of around 97 acres. The scenic beauty here is very captivating and provides a good environment for students to study here. Many other facilities like hostel , library , internet facilities, sports field and canteen are available. Our library is well equipped which contains many types of journals, books and even CD-ROM. The ratio of girls is less in our college as compared with boys as 2 out of 10 hostels are for girls. The mess in our college is really clean and hygienic and the charges are also very less. We also have well equipped labs where we perform our research work. In all, MHU is the best college for MSc at nominal cost.

Admission

To get admission in MHU you can either apply by online or offline mode. I am a student of MHU karnal and I got admission in this college by clearing the CCS HAU entrance test that was conducted by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural university. I'm pursuing MSc in horticulture and my specialization is in fruit science. I got admission in this college after pursuing BSc in horticulture from a recognized institute, which is the eligibility criteria for admission in this prestigious institution

Faculty

4.5

We have 12 faculty members in total , who have expertise in their respective fields. They are well trained and experienced in frontier aspects of biotechnology and post harvest technology. The faculty members try their best to provide quality education to us and also provides their constant support and guidance.

Placement Experience:

Almost 650% of students land a PPO with the companies they intern at. For the others, the Placement Cell does an amazing job of lining up companies for campus recruitment. The highest package recorded has been 16 LPA with an average revolving around around 6 LPA. I think it's reliable placement scenario and we are given enough training to do our best in the interviews.

Still it is new college you know that there is no certain records of placement. I am from 2nd batch of this college. But I would say it will provide enough good packages. In 2nd year you have to sit for internship as per the curriculum of this college. so out of 107 seniors, 85 students grabbed intership from the 2nd year. We hope we also be able to grab internship in 3rd year.
