Course Curriculum Overview
There are many areas of research and students can focus on whichever area that they are comfortable with. The course is very flexible in terms of their research and do not follow an extremely rigid structure which leaves room for students to show their expertise.
Placement Experience
After completing the research the students can apply for different positions based on their area of expertise. The college even has provisions where they hire the students who have completed their Ph.D. from the college itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure can be termed as feasible and a Ph.D. is supposed to be costly due to the lab costs, research costs, and many other costs. However, you will find many colleges having a more expensive fee structure than our college.
Campus Life
There are many events in the college such as workshops on different themes, CCMB young innovators program, international and national conferences, seminars, and such which brings together people from our field.
Alumni/Alumna
You can meet the alumni of the college during the events that are arranged for the students. Some of the ex-students are also working as faculties and guides for the college itself and this is one of the plus points of our college.
Admission
I wanted to apply for a PhD in modern biology in an institute which is closer to home. This is why I applied in Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology. I already knew that it was a very well known research centre in the state and fully prepared myself to crack the interview in one go.
Faculty
The guides for the researches are very helpful and knowledgeable. If you are stuck somewhere they will promptly help you out and even give you tips on how to tackle the obstacles that you face during the research.
