Remarks

My college has been chosen a center of excellence by UNESCO's Global Network of Molecular and Cell Biology and had received the Third World Academy (TWAS) Award and hence it adds to its value. I was very impressed with my college due its plenty of facilities that it provides to its students and encourage and help them achieve a bright future in their selected course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was excellent according to me as it proposes a training course in molecular cloning and preparation of media for bacterial cell culture and maintenance of bacterial strain along with screening of positive clones and plasmid vector preparation, etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

All the candidates like me can apply for CCMB from their official college website. And for lower position, the candidate must sent a post with an application form and the other required documents. Usually their vacancies are not filled by GATE scores and other competitive examinations. Candidates applying for the positions can also be filled with the information related to their test patterns, syllabus and many other details. Hence the placements were good enough for me. The highest package received by one of colleagues was about 6 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was quite feasible for me as it was around 25000 rupees per annum for me for my course of microbiology excluding the expenses of food and hostel. Hence the fee structure was really nice and affordable.

Campus Life

The college organizes many events of both Academics and Sports. Question and answer quizzes often happen along with sports competition such as Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton and etc. Which helps the students to recognize their own hidden talents apart from academics.

Admission

I got admission with a Master's degree in Biology and by clearing their written test I was shortlisted to appear for an interview at their center. A valid fellowship is also an absolute requirement, hence I had a great score of 90% in the GATE examinations and thus also selected in their interview and granted admission in their college.

Faculty

4.5

The teachers are of this college are always punctual about their teaching schedule and are always prepared to answer any question asked by the students. Moreover, their teaching style is quite comfortable and easily understandable by any of the student. Their main focus is to clear all plethora number of doubts of their students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy was the best option for Bipc students apart from MBBS. My main aim was MBBS,but unfortunaley i couldn't get it. Retail pharma, industrial, clinical had a huge scope which made me to opt for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to prove within the real time market. Improvement was much needed with research based programs as it was the major core area for pharma aspirants. Frequency betwween internal and external exams were too short.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course as I dreamt of becoming a doctor since I was a child. In our college, the faculty is good and are qualified enough. They teach the basic things and make us learn things in a clear way. There will be two internal exams, one prefinal exam in every year. Those with an average of 50% in internal exams are allowed to write the final exams. There is quite a difficulty in passing the final exam as there is a vast syllabus.
