Remarks

The college provided a good base for the zoology course with a very feasible fees and enabled me to experience different research topics. Overall the college environment is very friendly and is secure. It is also a ragging free campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is divided into six semesters and comprised of three years in total. We get to study Core and non-core subjects and the internal and external examination is conducted. The practical is taken with the external examinations. The curriculum is not that hectic and has a free scope of research.

Placement Experience

3

If you want to job you need to fill an application and the college arranges placements at the end of six semester. It is recommended to study further for the Master and then to PhD degree to have a high scope in the zoology field. The students who want a job, various institutes and schools interview them and the selection is on the basis of their merit.

College Events

4

The college host a lot of events including cultural festivals, sports Day events. The sports Day is celebrated for a week where the students participate not only in the sports but also in dance and music. We only decorate the stage and everything, our budget is low but all the students work together to make the event successful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since the college is for those students who cannot afford expensive education the total fees of the course is approximately Rs.10,000 for three years. The first year instalment is around Rs.3800 which is very feasible and with the exposure provided in the college it is worth it. It can be submitted in the form of demand draft or card payments, no cash is accepted for the fees.

Campus Life

The college is nicely constructed on a large scale and has big playgrounds with spacious multipurpose/auditorium halls. The libraries and the laboratories are fully equipped with all the equipment and latest technology, since the college sponsors everything.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel block is separately built, we have 3 to 4 girls hostel and one boys hostel. Hostel fees is not that high it is submitted semester wise at Rs.500. It provides all the facilities including clean washrooms, clean rooms, rooms with basic utilities. The food is served in the canteen mess which is very delicious and healthy. The security is tight around the hostel campus making it a safe and secure environment.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni meet happens once in a year which the students host. The seniors come and addresses about their exposure and experiences in their respective fields. They guide us along our projects and help us in our research work too, most of the seniors are very friendly and polite.

Admission

I secured 95% on my boards and applied to the university through their official website where the application form was available. After filling the Academic details and attaching the 10th and 12th certificates I was called upon the campus for the interview session as well as a written test examination from the college. I cleared both the rounds and was selected for the course.

Faculty

4

All the faculty is well qualified and all are known-scholars in their respective fields. The teachers hold PhD degrees and are very helpful and polite. They clear a doubt whenever we ask and also provide with the important questions before exam as well as help us along our research work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
