Course Curriculum Overview
Initially, I had a misconception about the course, as I did not think one could really quantify how to teach. However, after coming to the college, I realised it's much deeper. The course was structured in a way that we could slowly understand the perspective of the students we'd teach one day. It was perfectly paced, too, so that it wouldn't become overwhelming, and the exams helped keep us on out toes!
Placement Experience
There was a school internship in the second year, where we taught a students over a 16-week period. It was an informative experience, and we had a taste of what the actual job would be like when we would get it. Placement statistics are pretty good, with many colleges and schools recruiting from TNTEU.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course fee is very feasible. It costs about 95,000 rupees for the two-year B..Ed course, which is a decent amount. Compared to other institutes, this is much more affordable, and I am happy with what I got for my money!
Campus Life
There are very good laboratories in different fields, for example a computer lab, a psychology lab, and a language lab. The library has a diverse collection of books, journals and encyclopedias. There's no discrimination ny gender or caste or religion.
Admission
TNTEU is the prime teachers' training institute in Tamil Nadu. Becoming a teacher and shaping young minds has always been a dream of mine, so when I completed my graduation, I immediately applied to this Institute. I got selected after I made the merit list they had formed from the applicants.
Faculty
The faculty are all highly-qualified educators. They held the attention of their students, which is an important characteristic to have while training future teachers. Their style of teaching certainly rubbed off on me, and helped me navigate starting my job.
