Course Curriculum Overview
The course follows a Choice Based Continuous Semester System (CBCSS). In my course, they taught us British history, political sciences, shakespeare, kant, etc. We also had a common course which most UG students had as well as an open course which you can choose between English for Competitive Examinations?and ?nglish for Business Purposes. The open course was also open to all UG students
Placement Experience
Our college has a remarkable placement cell and career guidance system. Companies like South Indian Banck, Federal Bank and Wipro have come to recruit students. Placement cell Prof. Deepu Joseph has always tried to bring new companies in and helped students get recruited.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure of our school is average. My course fee was totalling 2,930 + PTA. Students can avail fee concession if they are eligible. Certain students can also look into scholarships to see if you are eligible.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are around seventeen scholarships available in the college. You can look for the terms and conditions as well as your eligibility online. Some of them can applied online and others you can enquire in the reception.
Campus Life
The college has three clubs: Eco club, Debate Club and Quiz Club. There is also the NSS and NCC cadets which you can join. There is annual sports meet and the physical education department develops the activites. There are also many seminars and workshops conducted throughout the year. There is also the Walk With A Scholar (WWS) scheme which allows mentorship for the students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accomodation is limited but there are four girls hostels and one boys hostel for students who want them. You need to book in advance. The hostel I was staying at Nirmala Bhavan was run by S H sisters. It was fun and entertaining.
Admission
I got admitted based on the marks that i received for my 12th standard. I registered in the college's Centralised Allotment Process and got alloted into the course. At the time of admission i had to give few documents which they verified and registered me in.
Faculty
The faculty of our department was very helpful and dedicated. Our Head of Department was always welcoming and our assistant professor was someone you can always reach for clearing questions you had as well as assistance.
