Remarks

Indo Global Group of Colleges is a college where a new student can learn and prosper from great faculties and good seniors. The college makes a skilled engineer and teaches a student maturity with a mixture of good knowledge and skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

It included programming and detailed knowledge about codes and computer science. For the first year the courses were from all streams and the second year core subjects started. The exams were taken twice a year as university exams as there were 8 semesters for a 4-year bachelor course.

Placement Experience

4

The placement opportunities were great as the placement ratio of the college was 75%. Also, there were three internships of one month, 45 days, and the last internship at the end of graduation of six months. The students can choose the firm or organization to do an internship but the company must be relevant to the field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The first-year fees were 90,000 including a security deposit of 6000 while the fees for the rest of the three years were 84,000 every year. The fee structure was quite feasible as students paid 3.42 lakhs for a 4-year bachelor's degree and generally students paid semester wise fees which were 42,000.

Campus Life

There were many extracurricular activities for students like many events during the year of sports. The dean of college motivated students for sports, dance festivals in the leisure time. Apart from it, there were seminars, convocation events, Lohri celebration at the main campus of the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Students had good contact with the alumni students and especially I talked with one of them to get their perspective regarding the college and job prospects. Seniors were very supportive as they were from good families, there was no ragging at the college.

Admission

The admission criteria were 75% and above and my JEE score was average so I was able to get admission to Indo Global Group of Colleges. Also, the application mode for admission was online as well as offline once I was shortlisted in the online procedure. I applied online with the scanned copies of my academic documents.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty had an industrial experience so they surpass the real work experience with us and taught us what was practically helpful based on the work industry demands in the current time. They took much interest in clearing the doubts and explaining the topics in detail.

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
