The research field is up to the choice of the scholar. I had chosen Immunology field for my doctorate program. If you are a direct PG student, you have to learn research methodology paper before proceeding with your work. This is because that paper is more important and is covered in M.Phill. degree. The Infection and Immunology is one the main thematic area of research in THSTI.

The placement opportunities are provided by the institute. There is a lot of scope because the institute is governed by the Indian Government. The blooming field of Biotechnology surely gives lots of offers all the deserving students.

The institute holds it's famous event, THSTI GYANOTSAV - FARIDABAD ADYAY. It is the biggest event of our institute. There are various other events throughout the year in the campus. There will be celebrations for the various festivals and national days.

The fees depends on the period of research and the depth level of your project. The more intense it gets, the more you have to spend. But spending for a doctorate program is never a problem for an aspiring researcher.

The institute encourages sports among the students with a sports committee to look after it. There are also clubs to protect students like SC/ST grievance redressal cell, peer review committee, hostel committee, student & employee welfare committee, etc.

I applied for the hostel accommodation in the campus. Luckily I got a room in there. The rooms are neat and meets all the basic needs of a scholar. The mess is so good with a delicious and hygienic diet.

I applied for a Ph.D. program in THSTI. This institute is actually working under JNU. The application in open in online every year after the end of even semester in all colleges. The main eligibility is either you should have done a M.Phill. degree or a PG degree. But the rules are governed by JNU. After online application, we will have a written test and an interview process. This is common for all the universities admitting a scholar in their institute.

The faculties are highly qualified. Since this is a R&D institute, we have even various level Scientists in the campus. But they all are always helpful to their students and act as a perfect guide too. It is a blessing to work with all the great research scientists over here.
